A whopping 2 hours and 45 minutes.
Not putting any teasers or spoilers in here, I had NO clue this was the movie he got all that shit about 'killin a bunch of white folks, how cool is that'.
So far the best movie I saw in 2013 so far.
Nothing more, carry on.

However, it does fit in the current gun grab agenda. No more than 6 shots per pistol, 2 shot shotguns and a couple rifles only firing 1 shot.
A LOT of dead people, only with 6 shots per.
Late massacres have multiple guns, multiple magazines and a shitload of clips... or so they claim. Reasoning to me is, if you can cause that kind of carnage with 'only' 6 shot pistols, surley no one needs more and ALL are VERY deadly. Well that's the point, they are supposed to be deadly.
This movie fits right into the script. Probably why Foxx created such a stir with his statement on late night teevee. More attention to the issue and the movie, throw in a single nigger killing dozens and dozens of white people, including a woman. Helps push the racial tension angle.
We'll see how this movie works out for the gun grabbers, I would still watch it again.

Quentin Tarantino is a big time gungrabber and VERY vocal about it. You just put coins in that gungrabber's pocket.
He 'makes a *living*' off of extreme violence which very often involves the unlawful use of guns. Hypocrisy much?

I got curious about this flick with all the controversy going on about it, especially when Spike Lee said it was a racist movie and told people not to see it. So, when I ran into a pirate version online I watched it, hell, I watched it twice. Django is an equal opportunity shooter that's for sure :)
All in all it's really just a spaghetti western, in the truest sense.
Note: No frns were expended in the watching of this film, not one useless cent.

Yeah, because a fictional movie shows a guy going on a shooting spree with six-shooters, that proves that you don't need more than six shots! Genius!
Honestly though, if it's now acceptable to show a black man going on a rampage "killing all the white people", and people cheer it on, that actually frightens me a bit. You don't need much of an imagination to imagine what the backlash would be if the roles were reversed.

Possible Spoiler - do not read this post
I will not try to post any spoilers, but anyone who has not seen the movie and may, or may want to should avoid this post.
Without getting into specifics (spoilers),
Django Unchained has a beginning, a muddle, and an end.
It has the Tarantino touches as he's credited as being the only writer: exploitation aspects, with the head shots and blood from the shots.
I thought Chritoph Waltz was very good.
Couple seens were crap, but of course that's only my opinion. (Dicaprio sitting on the chair while one slave figher blinds another. A bit stupid.)
Overall, I liked it. It was OK. Not great, but not awful. Above average I suppose.

i'm always grateful for movie reviews - and for Willie Pete's avatars. :)
not sure if this is the time to ask a question about the movie Prometheus.
we had a "Stupid Questions about Dumb TV Shows" thread.
should we have a "Thoughtful Questions about Great Movies" thread ?
rhetorical question. i appreciate Cebu's recommendation of Django, BUT i am not a Tarantino fan.
i also have questions about NCIS and Breaking Bad.
i have to wonder - why hasn't the entertainment world broken free from the Zio-Chains of Beverly Hills programming ?
as all these entertaining shows demonstrate - it's not that hard to make an entertaining show. we don't need Spielberg's "advanced (barf) directing skills" for good movies to be made.
why aren't people making good entertaining movies & posting them on Youtube ?
Big Buck Bunny was a start, but not much more - that was a movie created by the Open Source Blender (3D App) community.

/\ Just a short animated movie about a rabbit's quarrel with 3 rodents.

I commented on this before ... did you not notice the angle of the "Noble Black" a/k/a magic negro, partnering up with the Jewish guy, his true friend, to go out and kill all the white people because they "deserved" it?

Yeah I know, I wouldn't have watched it if I knew this was 'that' movie. When I plan to watch a movie All I need to know is if it is horror, if so I wont watch it. This movie was good, until the last 2 minutes. Whatever the message is, I would still watch it again.
