Silver price rise
Hi Bill, Web Bots saying silver price rise starts this week with Industrial shortages starting to surface. Also predicting that silver eventually goes to parity in price with gold. Adrian Douglas had predicted this would eventually happen for quite some time too. Bad news is it sees a global coastal ocean event by June, let's hope that prediction is wrong. I picked up some July 70 silver calls today for $75 each. Tim. South Dakota.

Maybe they mean gold is going to *fall* to reach parity with silver.
$32/ozt Au sounds pretty good to me.

I have followed all the reports for years. Lots of misses indeed. My rose colored glassed have certainly come off. However, I think this silver run up might just happen as the webbots are saying. We have two months to find out. The initial run up action is supposed to occur from now til March 20th, the equinox. Then a big drop and finally off to the races.

The scuttlebut on the internet is a silver shortage. But as a proxy, I've seen no impact on silver eagle sales on Ebay. Supply has been steady and prices firm at $39-41.

IMHO, there is a severe physical silver shortage. And TPTB are desperately trying to maintain appearances, hitting the metals hard today, and scavenging silver from around the globe. Old habits die hard. And people in power are always the last to relinquish control. They will not stop their games until the shortage is obvious to everyone. Who knows, the US Mint might have to suspend silver eagle production indefinitely.

With the great Obama recovery happening, the new housing boom, the stock market ready to make new all time highs, jobs rebounding and people spending again...the governments should suspend all sales indefinately, to keep supply coming to industry in this hot economy.

i support a lot of businesses that adopted the iphone years ago because it was really, the first smart phone. virtually ALL of them that are in the process of transitioning away from it are doing it for only one reason: lack of flash support on the browser. they simply need flash, and apple will not support it because of a pissing match with adobe. none of what i see is about android, the galaxy 3, whatever, they'd all keep iphones if they let safari run flash. it's completely retarded too, because they support flash on safari or whatever on every mac model. they just won't do it on the phone. all the reggie middleton essays, android fanboys, etc. are full of crap. i see it everyday, and the only issue i ever hear is flash.

Another thing against apple is price and screen size. Apple up until the mini only had large screens and a bunch of people like the smaller screens and lower prices of android devices.

yes, i knew that; apple is trying to push html 5, which is fine, if 50% of websites didn't have flash already installed on their site. i know my customers are not going to pay my $800 to redo every flash animation on their site to html so "the iphone can see it." i know 2 people who work at cupertino that have both told me it was steve job's personal pissing match against adobe. now that he's dead, tim cook should just implement it already. it would take like 3 days.

Yep!
I stated android because that platform is growing and looks like it will have a huge share of the market in the 10" and down device market. Also it is not restricted by any proprietary noise or restrictions from the manufacture.
Time will tell how things shake out, but apple is taking a huge hit now for being "Stuck in the mud" for so many years when it comes to the smaller screen size devices. Other players have now started to fill that market. And now methinks it is starting to bite them (Apple) on the ass and pocketbook/shares.

I disagree. I'm not saying it isn't a contributing factor, but android doesn't support flash either at this point.
Apple for a long time was very well marketed, their products were sexy and even though everyone had one they were a status symbol. Steve Jobs made technology that non nerds could be excited about. Now though, they've lost their luster. iOS was also quite superior as was itunes for quite some time after google bought android. This isn't the case now, I know people with iphone 5's and Google Now kicks siris ass so much it's ridiculous, the UI is superior, the customization is infinitely superior etc.
iPhones took off like rockets because they were extremely simple to operate, very straightforward compared to anything else at the time that was considered a smart phone. This is becoming less and less a selling point, as people are now accustomed to grids of apps to launch programs, we're 5 years in to smart phone OS's, people generally know what to expect.
Lastly IMO, is choice. Up until the iphone 5 the iphone had the smallest screensize of any smartphone ATT sold. 3.5" is a joke, 4" is a joke, Apple needs to offer different models with different sizes and specs. With Android there are a million choices and options, with iphones there are 2, pay through the nose for the newest one, or pay what the top of the line android phone is brand new, for last years model.
There are benefits to the way apple has done things, being closed source and controlling the hardware etc, vs open source and letting the manufacturers sort out the hardware. But open source and choice is winning out, and will continue to. As I said in the other thread, the ipad mini was the first time in 10 years I have seen apple dance to the tune set by a different company. Before it was them innovating and everyone else was like "oh yeah mp3 players/touch screen smartphones/easy to use tablets we should do that too" now it is apple "gee google sure is gaining market share with 7" tablets maybe we should scale down the ipad"
One last point, this might only account for a small amount of Apples customers, but for the last decade hipster types loved apple because they had been the underdog their entire lives, micro$oft dominated everything in the world of computers, so supporting apple was a throwback for them to the old oregon trail days on the Apple IIe, now that apple is the largest company on the planet even bigger than king satan exxon mobil(not as of today of course), they aren't the underdog and I can only assume this is off putting to hipsters.
