Eh, it likley had more to do with the 170+ vendors that pulled out. Thats a big chunk. The gun shows I work arent near as big as that show (though they are pretty big, 500+ tables on average). 170 vendors pulling would hurt any show, considering many of them likley had multiple tables. The worst thing for a show promoter is losing the money and having empty tables.

Good show, gun community. This is the kind of stuff that will keep the Fudds from going over to the dark side completley. Let them know that the firearms culture must protect ALL firearms, not just "sport" guns, or we will surley lose them all.

Isn't the promoter for this show a British company?

NRA seems to have some balls in trivial matters, let's see if they do when it comes down to the voting.

IMO, the NRA will do these things and beat their chest at their successes, then compromise on an AWB and tell their members "look what we have done, we shut down this and that expo" etc. Meanwhile the 2A gets squeezed more.

I heard somewhere that NRA President David Keene is going to step down and a new president will be appointed soon.
A guy named Murry Goldstein who is a strong advocate for gun rights is up for the position. I hope he does a good job.
Mind you this is only rumor at this time...

Meanwhile the 2A gets squeezed more.

If the so-called 'universal background checks' comes about (i.e. the end of private sales*) then the fucking over of Americans will be pretty much complete.

*a state of affairs where EVERYONE has to 'ask permission' of the state to take possession of a gun

i have no problem with the NRA engaging in Real-politik, as long as their Heart is in the right place.

not sure if it is.

Heart in the right place......

It has always been up their @$$ along with their head.

At the end of the day this was a mega fail because who REALLY lost?

Responsible law abiding gun owners could not get product.

The NRA is going to knuckle under on background and mental checks and it will fall on its Sword on mag limits.

Most we can hope for is grandfathering prior purchases.

If anything meaningfull will happen it will come from individual states and county sherriffs

To be blunt I'd rather them pass full on confiscation, for one none of us are getting younger. Secondly I'm tired of people being sheep, this will wake them up. I'd rather fight them with pitchforks than be boiled slowly with my AK.

Does GoD know about this? I strongly doubt it.

They control everything else, why not the NRA too.

My guess is they certainly control the NRA. They have probably started every opposition group as soon as they though of it. You can bet they control all opposition groups that are organized. They just can't make it too obvious......yet.

The implication of this is staggering: GoD is likely a joo. He could be a sleeper bagel cell.

Now I'm getting depressed.
