Sheriff's once had the power to arrest but this was stripped away long before America split with the English. Sheriff's used to have their own courts and this was where they derived their authority to arrest. Now they just execute warrants.

That doesn't mean that they cannot arrest if there is no warrant. They have as much power and authority as any citizen does in these regards.

Hate to say it but baby Biden is right. He might have stated it in a more diplomatic manner.

Without a warrant EVERY arrest is a citizens arrest.

The Death Cult's goal here is to make it so only political appointees can be making arrests and NOT the man (or woman) the people have chosen

Six years ago I watched a guy at a tax lien auction get arrested. You had to pre-register for the auction and his registration was not allowed as his tax lien was one of those being sold. So he stood outside the auction and lectured to several deputies and the sheriff for about an hour. When the auction was ended he made to go into the room. The sheriff told him if he took one step toward the door he would arrest him. He took that step and proceeded to jail for 24 hours BEFORE he was taken in to see a judge. He was held for around 5 days because he refused booking and spent another week in the psych ward being fed chemicals..

The arrest was more of a contract negotiation. The sheriff made the offer (take one step toward that door) and the acceptance was the step being taken.

Somehow I don't think that sheriff's need any more power to arrest than this. I wouldn't be placing them high on the list of remedy.

A month or two latter this same sheriff ordered the two of us out of his building with a very red face for attempting to get some paperwork from his office. He died a couple of years later and I expect high blood pressure was a proximate cause.
