It is very rare that I actually turn on my audio so I watched the video in silence. I don't know her crimes or what was said at the bench. I thought it was quite obvious this person was rather unstable and had significant issues of her own to contend. That she flipped the judge off should be considered in that context. If she received an additional 30 days of tax-payer subsidized jail time simply to assuage the judge's ego that is indicative of a judge incapable of clear, impartial judegment.

when i was a teenager i went to court as moral support for a friend who was facing a few trivial charges... he had a reputation of being kind of a smart ass and when the judge sentenced him to 30 days he said "thirty days? i can do thirty days standing on my head!"
the judge responded "fine. i'll give you an additional thirty days to get back on your feet."
moral of the story? its better to keep your mouth shut and let everyone think you are an idiot than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.

I saw this video the other day. Should of asked the judge if the contempt charge was criminal or civil. Judges like to throw contempt of court around like it's nothing. When you ask them if contempt is criminal or civil you're asking for the charge to be defined which they do not like to do as they have to do additional paperwork and then opens up the case for review if you decide to appeal it.
Fuck judges, black robed wearing limp wristed pussy lawyer faggots.

That was pretty much what I got from it with the sound on... The judge doubled her bail from $5000 to $10,000 for her telling the judge "adios" in a cheerful manner. Then leaving the second time she told the judge to go fuck himself, and he gave her 30 days for contempt...

It's always fun to ask whether something is civil or criminal and then to watch them squirm.
It's especially fun in traffic court and the like, where the "judges" are skating on only the thinnest veneer of legitimacy.

^ I'm not sure that I could have put it better myself.

That girl got off lucky
Judges are worse then Federal Cops on Crystal Meth mixed with roids.
He could have made that girl disspear down a Federal Spiderhole Never to be seen again
All that judge had to do was put is put in a favor to his buddies further up the food chain and they dam sure would have wiped that smile clean off her face.

What's the deal with the judge asking the questions? Since when do judges get to cross examine people at hearings? Do they not then take on the role of "prosecutor"? There goes any semblance of "impartiality" out the window.
Girl should have just kept her mouth shut anyways. Appeared that every question was a fishing expedition that could have been cut short by stating her 5th ammendent right and leaving it at that. If they want to know her assets, let them figure it out themselves.

good point Drafter. how is it any of their business what her jewelry is worth? it's her personal property, and should be of no concern to them whatsoever.
and yes, she should definitely have kept her mouth shut. amazing how many little problems can be solved that way, lol

Hizzoner was trying to determine whether she had any property she could be forced to sell off to pay for a 'private attorney'. It's all about the shysters stealing the property of the proles for the banksters. BAR card = license to steal.

For those that may not be aware:
THe girl is a minor or at the very least has just stopped being one (18 or so) with an apparently lengthy history of things like petty theft, domestic issues with parents, stealing from parents/relatives and was just an over all shitty person.
I am honestly surprised to see so many here backing her up. Im no fan of the court system either, but I see this being a proper use of it. Maybe that 30 days in jail will allow her to reflect on her life choices before we have yet another criminal immigrant living in miami costing the tax payer future thousands to jail her for more serious crimes.
If I were dealing with a person who behaved as she did, whether I be a teacher, a relative, just an elder in general, I'd have done pretty much the same thing.
I guess now I'm Heimdhal, the black robe enabler and shill for the courts and cops.......

....reminds me of the old story about the wealthy man facing jail time. his attorneys told him there was no way he would go to jail with the amount of assets he had. so they dragged out the legal process, forcing him to sell his assets to pay legal fees, then once he was sufficiently asset-less he then went to jail.
some fun, huh bambi?

fair enough Heim... i hear what you are saying, but i think that the system has outlined all sorts of checks and balances to ensure fairness and impartiality and should be held to those high standards at all times. not solely on the discretion of the presiding figurehead.
by circumventing the judiciary rules and protocols in their own courtrooms, they show that they themselves have no respect for what they are meant to represent (enforce). Therefore, how can they expect those that appear before them to have any level of respect either equal to, or greater than their own?
its not so much about defending the girls actions, its more about the judge, i think...
