I saw yesterday an article about building a radio transmitter that overrides radio signals so that the drone becomes blind and stupid. The link was a link or two downstream from a story on whatreallyhappened.com about the blowback from the gun grab movement. Now I can't find it. I'll keep looking.

Here's a government drone deploying their most feared weapon. How do we stop this?!?!?

Probably not a good idea to discuss doing this directly.

I wonder it this portends a trend in the future:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/02/09/world/middleeast/weapons-seizure-in-yemen-raises-worries-of-irans-influence.html?_r=0

If someone is supplying shoulder fired anti aircraft missiles to people where drones are used to kill them, perhaps the suppliers of those missiles are gearing up for mass production for the domestic US market? Will stinger-like missiles be a commonplace defense against these drones? Technology doesn't exist in a vacuum. Especially not in weapons. With tanks came RPG tank busters and IEDs. With drones, the eqaualizer may be more sophisticated, but not impossible.

Has anyone noticed how drones, which are offensive weapons are talked about by the government and the media as though they were being used to defend us from terrorists? Hah! The terrorists are defending us! From the terrorists! Kinda like a mafia protection scheme.

The drones are not robots. That is all you need to know.

Drones don't kill people...people kill people. Gosh that sounds eerily familiar.

since it seems they will be turned against americans,

how would you theoretically dispatch them???

learn the frequencies that they operate at & jam them.

the ground-to-drone comm. is usually L-Band, e.g. 1.5 GHz.

the GPS-to-satellite comm is usually a higher microwave frequency.

the trick is to determine those frequencies. e.g. websearch for "Spectrum Analyzer".

of course, if you got some appropriate analytical equipment, it will detect a whole bunch of frequencies. the trick is to figure out, which ones relate to drone control ?
