I remember someone posted some excellent info on gold processing plants that are built into the frame of a sea container. I don't recall the size, 20' or 40' but hoping someone can remember where that info came from or where it was posted here.

thanks for the help

I was hoping no one was going to say that. I thought it was one of his threads as well.

Check out Kadriver - he buys .925 Sterling & refines it, then sells .999 bars at a higher premium than Engelhard. makes his living buying scrap gold & silver & refining it. the gold he sells to refiners like NTR at about 97% of spot, last i heard.

LazerSteve's gold & silver refining videos. LazerSteve focusses on recovering Au, Ag, Pt, & Pd from electronic scrap. He does a real good job explaining several of the processes involved.

The chemicals involved are DANGEROUS. e.g. using concentrated sulfuric acid to strip gold plating, in an electrolytic cell.

Beefsteak is extremely knowledgeable about these processes.

Crazy Chicken is also very knowledgeable. He focusses more on recovery processes that involve cyanide, i think.

Thanks for the info guys. I'm looking into sourcing a plant capable of doing some volumes, in tons per hour. I might need to convert that to cubes. It needs to be chemical not mechanical. I remember the rackem and stackem stuff built into sea container sized frames. Something like that might be up to the task.

I google this and this thread comes up #4
