The Vatican Radio website posted this statement (http://en.radiovaticana.va/articolo.asp?c=663815) from the Pope announcing his resignation from the papal office on Feb. 28:

Dear Brothers,

I have convoked you to this Consistory, not only for the three canonizations, but also to communicate to you a decision of great importance for the life of the Church. After having repeatedly examined my conscience before God, I have come to the certainty that my strengths, due to an advanced age, are no longer suited to an adequate exercise of the Petrine ministry.

I am well aware that this ministry, due to its essential spiritual nature, must be carried out not only with words and deeds, but no less with prayer and suffering. However, in today’s world, subject to so many rapid changes and shaken by questions of deep relevance for the life of faith, in order to govern the bark of Saint Peter and proclaim the Gospel, both strength of mind and body are necessary, strength which in the last few months, has deteriorated in me to the extent that I have had to recognize my incapacity to adequately fulfill the ministry entrusted to me.

For this reason, and well aware of the seriousness of this act, with full freedom I declare that I renounce the ministry of Bishop of Rome, Successor of Saint Peter, entrusted to me by the Cardinals on 19 April 2005, in such a way, that as from 28 February 2013, at 20:00 hours, the See of Rome, the See of Saint Peter, will be vacant and a Conclave to elect the new Supreme Pontiff will have to be convoked by those whose competence it is.

Dear Brothers, I thank you most sincerely for all the love and work with which you have supported me in my ministry and I ask pardon for all my defects. And now, let us entrust the Holy Church to the care of Our Supreme Pastor, Our Lord Jesus Christ, and implore his holy Mother Mary, so that she may assist the Cardinal Fathers with her maternal solicitude, in electing a new Supreme Pontiff. With regard to myself, I wish to also devotedly serve the Holy Church of God in the future through a life dedicated to prayer.

From the Vatican, 10 February 2013
BENEDICTUS PP XVI

Pope Benedict surprises world, steps down citing frailty (http://news.yahoo.com/pope-resigns-saying-no-longer-strength-fulfill-ministry-112923467.html)
ROME (Reuters) - Pope Benedict surprised the world on Monday by saying he no longer had the mental and physical strength to cope with the demands of his ministry, becoming the first pontiff to step down since the Middle Ages and leaving his aides "incredulous"...

It could be that he is stepping down because he may feel that he does not have long wearing his mortal coil and he is stepping down now because he feels that it is best for the church?

Instead of staying in office until the last gasp, like most of his predecessors?

I thought a Pope had to be bed ridden to bequeath his legacy... now this guy must be trying to shake things up with the last minute retiring option.

He can't go back to being just a priest can he, Does the Pope have investments?

Apparently the last pope to full out resign was Celestine V in 1294.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pope_Celestine_V

His notable acts as pope include the unprecedented privilege of empowering Francis of Apt, a Franciscan friar, to confer the clerical tonsure and minor orders on Louis of Toulouse (who would later become Bishop of Toulouse), the son of the King of Sicily. However, it seems this decree was not carried out. He issued two other decrees: one confirmed an earlier decree of Pope Gregory X that ordered the shutting of the cardinals in a conclave to elect a new pope; the second declared the right of any pope to abdicate the papacy, a right that he himself exercised at the end of five months and eight days at Naples on 13 December 1294. In the formal instrument of renunciation he recited as the causes moving him to the step, "the desire for humility, for a purer life, for a stainless conscience, the deficiencies of his own physical strength, his ignorance, the perverseness of the people, his longing for the tranquility of his former life".[3] Having divested himself of every outward symbol of papal dignity, he retired to his old solitude.

Wouldn't that be a hoot (although it would require a rule change)!

I think that this Peter is a more likely candidate (he may not be Kolvenbach, but he'd still be a "black pope") :

https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ae/Cardinal_Tukson_987.jpg/401px-Cardinal_Tukson_987.jpg

In October 2011 Cardinal Turkson called for the establishment of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Bank)” to rule over financial institutions that have become outdated and often ineffective in dealing fairly with crises. The document, Towards Reforming the International Financial and Monetary Systems in the Context of a Global Public Authority (http://www.news.va/en/news/full-text-note-on-financial-reform-from-the-pontif) was very specific, calling for taxation measures on financial transactions. It notes that “The economic and financial crisis which the world is going through calls everyone, individuals and peoples, to examine in depth the principles and the cultural and moral values at the basis of social coexistence,” it said. The document condemned what it called “the idolatry of the market” as well as a “neo-liberal (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neo-liberal) thinking” that it said looked exclusively at technical solutions to economic problems. “In fact, the crisis has revealed behaviours like selfishness, collective greed and hoarding of goods on a great scale,” it said, adding that world economics needed an “ethic of solidarity” among rich and poor nations.[11] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Turkson#cite_note-11)[12] (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peter_Turkson#cite_note-12)

Perhaps not a rule change, (although I surely am not privy to all the rules and traditions of the College of Cardinals), but at least a major change of tradition.

I suppose that technically, any catholic man could be "in the running" for Pope (even our own JohnQPublic!), but Kolvenbach would be the oldest ever elected at 84 years old.

Secrets of La Salette (http://veritas-catholic.blogspot.com/2006/08/la-salette-secrets.html) (Marian apparition, France, 1846)

Secret of Maxim Girard (1946):

On September 19, 1846, we saw a beautiful Lady. We never said that this lady was the Blessed Virgin but we always said that it was a beautiful Lady. I do not know if it is the Blessed Virgin or another person. As for me, I believe today that it is the Blessed Virgin.
Moi, je crois aujourd'hui que c'est la sainte Vierge.)Here is what this Lady said to me: (Voila ce que cette Dame m'a dit:)
"If my people continue, what I will say to you will arrive earlier, if it changes a little, it will be a little later. (Si mon peuple continue, ce que je vais vous dire arrivera plus tôt , s'il change un peu, ce sera un peu plus tard.)France has corrupted the universe, one day it will be punished. The faith will die out in France: three quarters of France will not practice religion anymore, or almost no more, the other part will practice it without really practicing it. Then, after [that], nations will convert, the faith will be rekindled everywhere. A great country, now Protestant, in the north of Europe, will be converted; by the support of this country all the other nations of the world will be converted.
Before all that arrives, great disorders will arrive, in the Church, and everywhere. Then, after [that], our Holy Father the Pope will be persecuted. His successor will be a pontiff that nobody expects.
(Avant que tout cela arrive, de grands troubles arriveront, dans l'Eglise, et partout. Puis, après [cela], notre Saint-Père le pape sera persecuté. Son successeur sera un pontife que personne [n'] attend)
Then, after [that], a great peace will come, but it will not last a long time. A monster will come to disturb it.(Puis après [cela], une grande paix arrivera, mais elle ne durera pas longtemps. Un monstre viendra la troubler.)
All that I tell you here will arrive in the other century, at the latest in the year two thousand."
(Tout ce que je vous dis là arrivera dans l'autre siècle, [au] plus tard aux deux millle ans.")

Secr[e]t.(secret que m'a donné la Sainte Vierge sur la Montagne de la Salette le 19 septembre 1846
Secr[e]t)
Mélanie, I will say something to you which you will not say to anybody: (Mélanie, je vais vous dire quelque chose que vous ne direz à personne:)
The time of the God's wrath has arrived! (Le temps de la colère de Dieu est arrivé!)
If, when you say to the people what I have said to you so far, and what I will still ask you to say, if, after that, they do not convert, (if they do not do penance, and they do not cease working on Sunday, and if they continue to blaspheme the Holy Name of God), in a word, if the face of the earth does not change, God will be avenged against the people ungrateful and slave of the demon.(Si, lorsque vous aurez dit aux peuples ce que je vous ai dit tout à 1'heure, et ce que je vous dirai de dire encore, si, après cela, ils ne se convertissent pas, (si on ne fait pas pénitence, et si on ne cesse de travailler le dimanche, et si on continue de blasphémer le Saint Nom de Dieu), en un mot, si la face de la terre ne change pas, Dieu va se venger contre le peuple ingrat et esclave du démon.)
My Son will make his power manifest! Paris, this city soiled by all kinds of crimes, will perish infallibly. Marseilles will be destroyed in a little time. When these things arrive, the disorder will be complete on the earth, the world will be given up to its impious passions.(Mon Fils va faire éclater sa puissance! Paris, cette ville souillée de toutes sortes de crimes, périra infailliblement. Marseille sera détruite en peu de temps. Lorsque ces choses arriveront, le désordre sera complet sur la terre. Le monde s'abandonnera à ses passions impies.)
The pope will be persecuted from all sides, they will shoot at him, they will want to put him to death, but no one will not be able to do it, the Vicar of God will triumph again this time.
(Le pape sera persecuté de toutes parts: on lui tirera dessus, on voudra le mettre à mort, mais on ne lui pourra rien, le Vicaire de Dieu triomphera encore cette fois[-là].)The priests and the Sisters, and the true servants of my Son will be persecuted, and several will die for the faith of Jesus-Christ.(Les prêtres et les religieuses, et les vrais serviteurs de mon Fils seront persécutés, et plusieurs mourront pour la foi de Jésus-Christ.)
A famine will reign at the same time.(Une famine règnera en même temps.)
After all these will have arrived, many will recognize the hand of God on them, they will convert, and do penance for their sins.(Après que toutes ces choses seront arrivées, beaucoup de personnes reconnaîtront la main de Dieu sur elles, se convertiront, et feront pénitence de leur péchés.)
A great king will go up on the throne, and will reign a few years. Religion will re-flourish and spread all over the world, and there will be a great abundance, the world, glad not to be lacking nothing, will fall again in its disorders, will give up God, and will be prone to its criminal passions.(Un grand roi montera sur le trône, et règnera pendant quelques années. La religion refleurira et s'étendra par toute la terre et la fertilité sera grande, le monde content de ne manquer de rien recommencera ses désordres, abandonnera Dieu, et se livrera à ses passions criminelles.)
[Among] God's ministers, and the Spouses of Jesus-Christ, there will be some who will go astray, and that will be the most terrible.
([Parmi] les ministres de Dieu, et les Epouses de Jésus-Christ, il y en a qui se livreront au désordre, et c'est ce qu’il y aura de [plus] terrible.)
Lastly, hell will reign on earth. It will be then that the Antichrist will be born of a Sister, but woe to her! Many will believe in him, because he will claim to have come from heaven, woe to those who will believe in him!(Enfin, un enfer règnera sur la terre. Ce sera alors que l’Antéchrist naîtra d'une religieuse: mais malheur à elle! Beaucoup de personnes croiront à lui, parce qu'il se dira venu du ciel, malheur à ceux qui le croiront!)
That time is not far away, twice 50 years will not go by.(Le temps n'est pas éloigné, il ne se passera pas deux fois 50 ans.)
My child, you will not say what I have just said to you. (You will not say it to anybody, you will not say if you must say it one day, you will not say what that it concerns), finally you will say nothing anymore until I tell you to say it!(Mon enfant, vous ne direz pas ce que je viens de vous dire. (Vous ne le direz à personne, vous ne direz pas si vous devez le dire un jour, vous ne direz pas ce que cela regarde), enfin vous ne direz plus rien jusqu’à ce que je vous dise de le dire!)
I pray to Our Holy Father the Pope to give me his holy blessing.(Je prie Notre Saint Père le Pape de me donner sa sainte bénédiction.)

6 And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.

7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

Thanks for this message. It forced me to go back and figure it out. I think I can explain it now.

These key verses explain what was needed:

2Th 2:3Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
2Th 2:4 Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The term "letteth" means holding down. The obstacle holding down this evil one- or blocking his advance, must be taken out of the way. A few decades ago, the rapture cult tried to make people believe that the Church would be raptured out of the world and the Holy Spirit would be removed. That is not what the words say.

But today we have a great falling away and no restraint for the evil ones.

[QUOTE=JohnQPublic;611363] the Middle Ages [QUOTE]

You'll note that was traditionally always called the DARK ages but since it is characterized by the murder of millions BY the Roman Catholic church or under their direction, they wanted to smooth things out by calling it MIDDLE ages instead. Nice piece of work there ...baby.

The ironic thing is this, it implies that the years 500ad - 1500ad are middle....middle of what? approximately 2000 years (since no calendar is 100% correct) we only know the approximate year.....from when Christ will come back and setup the millenimum reign the last 1000 years (of rest)

Adam to Christ = 4000 years
Christ to the revealing of the Anti-Christ = 2000 years
7 yr tribulation (time of Jacob's trouble)
LAST 1000 yrs Christ reigns as the rightful king, the KING of kings and LORD of lords

2 Peter 3:8 But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.

St. Malachy (Moloch) Says There Will be Just One More Pope After Benedict (http://www.grizzom.blogspot.com/2013/02/st-malachy-moloch-says-there-will-be.html)

http://cdn.www.carm.org/images/1722_moloch.gif (http://cdn.www.carm.org/images/1722_moloch.gif)
Pope Benedict XVI announced Monday morning that he would be stepping down as the head of the Catholic Church, making him the first Pope to step down rather than die in the position in more than 600 years. A new pope will be selected by the end of March. There will undoubtedly be much speculation about who will take over the reigns of the Catholic Church, but one thing that we can look to for some guidance about who might be the the next pope are the infamous papal prophecies of St. Malachy. St. Malachy, the first Irish saint, had a vision of the next 112 popes. We've had 111 since, and are on the verge of seeing No. 112, which Malachy says will be the final pope before the end of the world as we know it.

In 1139, Malachy was Archibishop and traveled to Rome from ireland to give an account of his affairs. While in Rome, Malachy received a vision about the future which included the name of every pope, 112 in total, from his time until the end of time. We currently are at the end of the second to last prophecy, with Benedict XVI at the helm.

St. Malachy had written about the 112th pope: "In the final persecution of the Holy Roman Church there will reign Peter the Roman, who will feed his flock amid many tribulations, after which the seven-hilled city will be destroyed and the dreadful Judge will judge the people. The End." Read more here (http://www.clevelandleader.com/node/20116)

He is a well-known columnist who has been interviewed by US Congressmen and Senators on his findings as well as featured repeatedly in major media. Thomas received the highest degree honorary doctorate bestowed in 2007 from legendary professor Dr. I.D.E. Thomas for his research into ancient history. He returns to Red Ice to discuss Petrus Romanus.

For more than 800 years scholars have pointed to the dark augury having to do with "the last Pope." The prophecy, taken from St. Malachy's "Prophecy of the Popes," is among a list of verses predicting each of the Roman Catholic popes from Pope Celestine II to the final pope, "Peter the Roman," whose reign would end in the destruction of Rome. St. Malachy's list heralds the beginning of "great apostasy" followed by "great tribulation" sets the stage for the imminent unfolding of apocalyptic events.

According to this prophecy, the next Pope will be a false prophet who leads the world's religious communities into embracing a political leader known as Antichrist.

I would dismantle the organization immediately and explain to the follows that due too all the misdeeds of the past the church has too dissolve.

We cannot have people joining up and incurring our karma that is going to tarnish them in a negative manner.

Many people have become dependent on the church for their their spiritual salvation which dosnt really seemed to of happened after centuries of being in existence. It means we have failed you and ourselves as we have become what we preach not to be. A selfish ,greedy powerful controlling organization corrupted in many ways, which has turned our light dark.

So from now own we become our own church as we are all a spark of the creator and it is now each persons responsibility to carry love in their hearts where ever they go.

Go forth and be free.

Although it was often said that Celestine was the only pope to resign voluntarily (prior to Benedict XVI doing so in 2013), in fact, other popes have similarly abdicated of their own will. These are John XVIII in 1009 and Benedict IX in May 1045 (although he regretted it and was soon back). There was also Gregory XII in 1415 who agreed to quit at the request of the Council of Constance. Benedict XVI announced his resignation in February 2013.

I am delighted to have you back with Me. It is important to keep close to Me now My daughter. The time is short and you have much work to do.
Today I ask of My followers, My dearest daughter, to pray hard for My beloved Vicar Pope Benedict XVI . He, My Holy Servant is under terrible persecution behind closed doors in the Holy See.
I have told you before that the Masonic Groups who have a vice like grip inside The Vatican want My Beloved Pope out.
And they intend to oust him from the Seat of Peter using devious means.
He will, as I have told you in the past, have to flee for he will have little choice.
This time is short. You must pray hard that he can stay as long as possible for as soon as he leaves, the imposter, the False Prophet, will take his place.
How My tears flow for My Beloved Church on earth at this time. All those sacred servants of mine, who accept My Holy Word, as it is given to you at this time, hear Me now.
You must remain faithful to the Holy Mass and uphold the daily Sacrifices. For very soon you will be forced to swallow a lie.
The daily Sacrifices, in honour of My Crucifixion and the change of the wine into My Blood and the Bread into My Body, will be changed, twisted and I will be vilified through new laws introduced by the False Prophet.
You must never accept anything that is not the Truth
.
You must never accept heresy from within the walls of My Holy See. If you do then you will remove yourself from Me.
Many of you will have to offer the Holy Mass in secret and you will need all the courage you can get by praying to Me and asking Me to make you strong.
The changes will begin in the Holy Eucharist itself. You will soon be told that Holy Communion, My True Presence is, in fact, something else.
You will be told it means different things. But this is a terrible lie.
The Holy Eucharist is My Body and Blood given to you to allow Me to fill you with My Holy Spirit, to give you the nourishment that you need for your souls.
When the time comes and you, My Sacred Servants, are presented with the new modern interpretation then you will know that the contamination has already started.
This is when you will need to prepare. Gather together and defend the Truth of My Crucifixion. Do not accept the lies, the changes in the Holy Mass and the Holy Eucharist. For if you do then My Presence will be lost to all of God’s children.
Follow Me. This is the greatest challenge you will ever have to face but I will give you the Graces to discern the truth from the sacrilegious fiction you will be asked to accept in My Holy Name.
You must ask for My Help now through this Crusade Prayer (56). It is for Priests seeking Protection for the Holy Eucharist
O Dear Father, in the name of your Precious Son,
Who sacrificed Himself on the Cross for the whole of mankind
Help me to stay true to the Truth
Cover me with the Precious Blood of Your Son and give me the
Graces to continue to serve You in faith, trust and honour for the rest of my ministry
Never let me stray from true meaning of the Sacrifice of the Holy Mass or the presentation of
The Holy Eucharist to Your children.
Give me the strength to represent You and feed Your flock the way
in which they must be fed with the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of
Your Son, Jesus Christ, The Saviour of Mankind.
Amen.
Please know that I walk with each of you, My Beloved Sacred Servants, every day.
I hold you up. Lean on Me and I will keep you close to My Sacred Heart in these times of terrible torment within the Catholic Church.
Your Beloved Jesus

The Celestine Sign (http://moynihanreport.itvworking.com/from-the-desk-of/the-celestine-sign) June 30, 2010 by Robert Moynihan, PhD. (http://moynihanreport.itvworking.com/author/robert)
Today is the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, apostles of the beginnings of the Church — one to the Jews, the other to the nations. But the times remind one of a man who took the name “Celestine” when he became Pope, a name never chosen again…
“I resign the papacy out of the desire for humility, for a purer life, for a stainless conscience, the deficiencies of my own physical strength, my ignorance, the perverseness of the people, my longing for the tranquility of my former life.” –Pope St. Celestine V (1209-1296), also known as Pietro da Marrone, the only Pope in history to resign the papacy, giving the reasons for his resignation on December 13, 1294 after only five months as Pope. He lived another year and a half, kept in prison by his successor, Boniface VIII (the quote above is slightly paraphrased to put it into the first person)
“I saw and recognized the shade of him who by his cowardice made the great refusal” –Dante, Inferno, III, 59–60; many scholars believe Dante is referring to Celestine V, placing him in Hell because Dante felt Celestine had acted in a cowardly way by resigning rather than facing and fighting the forces of evil in the Church)

A Mystery in Plain Sight

Today in Rome, on the Feast of Sts. Peter and Paul, Pope Benedict XVI gave a remarkable homily in which he mentions the threats that will come against the Church in the “last days.”
This homily must be read in part as Benedict’s commentary on the sexual abuse crisis and the increasing pressure being placed on the Church by secular judicial and law enforcement authorities. (see below)
The homily thus provides a deep insight into Benedict’s mind at this troubled moment in his pontificate.
The feast in Rome on June 29 each year is the feast in which the Pope places the “pallium,” a cloth made of wool, upon the shoulders of archbishops from around the world chosen during the past year as a sign that they are “linked” or “yoked” to the universal Church, to Rome, and to the person of the Pope.
In his homily, the Pope speaks of the “liberty of the Church” and says this liberty is protected by the strength of the union between the bishops around the world and the bishop of Rome, the Pope.

https://app.icontact.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/305005/923297fb25764dd5003d267c9be78c71/image/jpeg
A little more than a year ago, on April 29, 2009, Benedict did something unusual. He left his own “pallium,” the sign of his episcopal authority and his connection to Christ, on a tomb in Aquila, Italy. The tomb held the remains of a relatively obscure medieval Pope named was Celestine V (1209-1296).
Why?

(Picture above: The Pope at the tomb of Pope Celestine V in April, 2009. The Pope now wears a pallium designed by Monsignor Guido Marini, a cross between the short pallium with black crosses worn by Metropolitan Archbishops and the longer ones with red crosses. This resembles the pallium worn by the the figure of Celestine in his shrine which is a short pallium with black crosses over an elaborate Roman chasuble.)
Celestine was a holy monk. His model was John the Baptist. His wore hair-cloth and a chain of iron. He fasted every day except Sunday and each year he kept four Lents on bread and water alone. Many kindred spirits gathered about him eager to imitate his rule of life, and before his death there were 36 monasteries, numbering 600 religious, bearing his papal name (Celestini).
But he was not just a monk.
He was elected Pope in 1294, a time of great corruption and contention in the Church, after a conclave deadlocked for more than two years. He was elected at about the age of 80 (Benedict was 78 when he was elected Pope in 2005).
At Celestine’s election, some of the Spiritual Franciscans, who opposed the worldliness of the Church hierarchy, proclaimed that he was the first legitimate Pope in nearly 1,000 years, since Constantine had granted the Church huge territorial possessions in the 300s.
So the Church had a holy leader, and many devout Catholics at that time thought the Church would be reformed by this good man.
https://app.icontact.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/305005/e05426afa9514e7f74acba5a1a342ed9/image/jpegBut the holy Celestine — who pleaded with the cardinals not to choose him as the Pope — could not manage to rule the powerful cardinals around him.
The cardinals of 700 years ago seem to have chosen Celestine almost humorously, as it were, not seriously, as if to say, “We can’t agree on a serious ‘Prince-Cardinal’ for Pope, so we will choose this holy, quiet, learned monk to be Pope, and watch with a certain amusement as he struggles mightily but in vain to guide the ungovernable bark of Peter.”
After five months, Celestine gave up, and resigned — the only Pope who has ever done so.
He thought he would end his life in peace, but his successor, Boniface VIII, fearing his opponents might use Celestine as a rallying point, ordered him confined, and some allege (probably wrongly, since he was already approaching 90), executed.
All of Celestine’s official acts were annulled by Boniface.
Now, Benedict is scheduled to travel this Sunday, on July 4, to Sulmona, not far from Rome. There, in the crypt of the cathedral, as the last act of his visit, he is scheduled to venerate relics of this same holy Pope, Celestine V. (See bottom for a news report on this upcoming trip.)
So Sunday, the Pope will pray before Celestine’s relics for the second time in 15 months.
I am not suggesting Pope Benedict XVI is thinking of following in the footsteps of the saintly Pope Celestine and resigning.
I am suggesting that the studious Pope Benedict and the studious monk-Pope are “connected” in a mysterious way.
I believe Benedict’s decisions to leave his pallium in Aquila, where Celestine’s tomb is located, and to schedule a prayer before his relics this coming Sunday, are not haphazard.
These decisions are indicators, ways of communicating truths through gestures. They contain a message the Pope cannot deliver any other way...

Central bankers in a war with the vatican? I guess they want to put their guy in? Vatican-based central bank of the world?

Card payments blocked, cash only in Vatican City © AFP
Italy’s central bank has blocked all bank card payments in the Vatican because of a failure to comply with EU safeguards against money laundering, forcing people to pay for services in cash until further notice, Italian media said on Thursday. By News Wires (http://www.france24.com/en/category/tags-auteurs/news-wires) (text)

It’s “cash only” now for tourists at the Vatican wanting to pay for museum tickets, souvenirs and other services after Italy’s central bank decided to block electronic payments, including credit cards, at the tiny city-state.
Deutsche Bank Italia, which for some 15 years had provided the Vatican with electronic payment services, said Thursday that the Bank of Italy had pulled its authorization after Dec. 31.
The Corriere della Sera newspaper reported that the Italian central bank took the action because the Holy See has not yet fully complied with European Union safeguards against money laundering. That means Italian banks are not authorized to operate within the Vatican, which is in the process of improving its mechanisms to combat laundering.
The Vatican says it is scrambling to solve the problem for thousands of visitors who flock to its very popular Vatican Museums, which include highlights like the Sistine Chapel. The Holy See had no immediate comment on the Bank of Italy’s reported reasons.
Tourists in the long lines Thursday that snaked around Vatican City walls were not happy about the inconvenience.
“It’s certainly a disadvantage,” said Giuseppe Amoruso, an Italian. “Credit cards provide a useful service, which needs to be accessible to everybody, everywhere.”
“A lot of tourists don’t have cash on them, so they have to get euros and don’t know where to get them,” said Fluger William Hunter, an American tourist.
The central bank said a routine inspection found that Deutsche Bank Italia hadn’t sought authorization when it first started providing services at the Vatican. When it finally did, the Bank of Italy turned it down because the Vatican’s banking norms, including measures to combat money laundering, didn’t meet Italy’s more stringent criteria of recent years, a central bank official said, speaking on condition of anonymity because there was no official statement on the case.
The Vatican has been striving to upgrade its measures to detect and discourage money laundering, hiring a Swiss expert just a few months ago. Last summer, the Holy See passed a key European financial transparency test but received failing grades for its financial watchdog agency and its bank, formally called the Institute for Religious Works.
The museums, with their entrance fees and popular souvenir shops, are a big money-maker for the Vatican. Other Vatican attractions, such as tours of the Vatican’s ancient underground spaces, also charge admission.

Approximately 900 years ago, Pope Innocent II summoned Saint Malachy, a popular archbishop, to Rome to update the Vatican on the status of Malachy's Northern Ireland diocese. Malachy made the arduous journey from Northern Ireland to Italy and gave his full report.
As he was leaving Rome to return to his church he had what he described as a “frenzied vision.” In this vision, Malachy was given the descriptive information of every pope that would ever exist, beginning with Pope Innocent II all the way to the final pope, Pope Petrus Romanus.
Malachy's vision tallied 112 popes, ending with Pope Petrus Romanus, and the current pope, Pope Benedict XVI (http://www.examiner.com/topic/pope-benedict-xvi), is number 111, which means there will only be one more pope.
Whether we choose to believe in the prophecy or not, states Horn, “It's historic in the sense that we have this medieval prophecy and the very next pope will be the last one on the list.”
When host, George Noory, asked Horn the significance of the prophecy and the last pope, Horn explained the prophecy states this final pope will be the pope who leads the church into the great Tribulation.

The world did not end on December 21, 2012.

The Mayan Long Count ended that day - because the Maya understood that world-changing events would start in the new year beginning with the winter solstice of 2012; a time of troubles lasting almost 7 years. Their description of the sky for the end of these times - the final day of destruction - matches December 2019, not 2012. Many astronomical clues in the Bible point to December 21, 2019 - EXACTLY seven years after the Mayan date in 2012. The Bible reveals a clear warning - the seven year tribulation ends December 21, 2019. The tribulation must begin more than 6 years but less than 7 years earlier - in 2013.

Civilization in Egypt, Sumeria, and many other first cultures is dated to approximately 3100 B.C.

The Maya believe our current world began in 3114 B.C. Ancient India tells us the Kali Yuga Age began in 3102 B.C. Why the 12-year difference? Did the Mayan Calendar date the world age from the year great troubles and changes began, while in India they dated the new Age from the final world-ending event? Was ancient Mexico focused on the end-of-the-world-AS-THEY-KNEW-IT, while India was focused on the LAST DAY?

The Mayan Calendar's Long Count ended their 5125-year World Age on December 21, 2012.
This date is the shortest day, the winter solstice, the start of a new year in which a horrible, world-changing chain of events will begin. The Christian Bible refers to these changes as the TRIBULATION. The Bible gives many astronomical descriptions of the night sky at the end of days, which match the sky in late December, 2019. Astronomical bodies and their movements and positions near each other act out the traditional steps in an Ancient Jewish Wedding Ceremony from 12/21/2019 to 12/28/2019 when Jesus marries His Bride - US. The Bible's "seven year" tribulation ends when that great wedding in the sky begins on December 21, 2019.

For ancient Israelites to say "seven years" it must last more than six but less than seven full years. That means the tribulation starts very soon in 2013. The Maya believed this point in time would mark the end of the world as we know it and the transition to a new world. They viewed the transitional years from 12/21/2012-12/21/2019 as the first years of the new system of things in the next world, while the Bible describes these transitional years as the last years of the world we know now. After completing my research, I must conclude that December 21, 2012 is the *official* start of the seven year tribulation, with world-changing events starting in early 2013 and Judgment Day at the end of 2019. Watch Jerusalem and Damascus for war, Washington for dictatorship, and New York for special devastation and financial ruin.

Why would a Jesus haten' devil, praise the Pope and give him credit for advancing inter-religious links the world over between Judaism, Christianity and Islam, when the Jesus haters clearly hate Christianity and Islam?
Is there a plan to get a Jew/Zionist Pope in there?

JERUSALEM | Mon Feb 11, 2013 11:53am GMT

JERUSALEM (Reuters) - Israeli chief rabbi Yona Metzger on Monday praised Pope Benedict's inter-religious outreach and said relations between Israel and the Vatican had never been better.

"During his period (as pope) there were the best relations ever between the church and the chief rabbinate and we hope that this trend will continue," a spokesman quoted Metzger as saying after the pope announced he would resign. "I think he deserves a lot of credit for advancing inter-religious links the world over between Judaism, Christianity and Islam."

Metzger wished the pope "good health and long days", the spokesman said.

Maybe he is relieved that Benedict is out and hoping for a more liberal Pope? Benedict continued John Paul's "inter-religious dialogue" but spoke of the need to do so in the spirit of truth (i.e., not pandering).

Money Scandal Behind Papal Coup d'Etat (http://henrymakow.com/2013/02/vatican-bank-shenanigans-behin.html) February 11, 2013

Left, The Ex Pope and the New Pope? Joseph Ratzinger (l) and the palace coup-master, Cardinal Bertone

To understand the Pope's resignation,
Kevin Annett says, "Follow the money."

"What sounded the death knell on Pope Benedict was his personal involvement in the bribery and money-laundering practices of the Vatican Bank."

by Kevin Annett
(henrymakow.com)

Theories are abounding now that the first pope in seven centuries is resigning his office. But as usual, finding the truth behind the world's oldest corporation is simply to follow the money: and specifically, Vatican Bank money.

First of all, let's put to rest, the fallacy that "looming scandals" about child rape and coverup are behind Joseph Ratzinger's resignation. That's just the cover story.

Nobody in the church hierarchy is losing sleep over their standing, canon-law endorsed policy of concealing and protecting child rapists in their ranks. Even the International Criminal Court application about such crimes has been stymied by catholic-run legislators and jurists.

What sounded the death knell on Pope Benedict was his personal involvement in the bribery and money-laundering practices of the Vatican Bank, comically known as The Institute of Religious Works (IOR). That dirty connection gave the anti-Ratzinger faction in the College of Cardinals the needed leverage to dump the obstinate German from the papal throne.

We had a whiff of that dump-Rat Boy agenda last year, when "Vatileaks" broke a ludicrous story of how Ratzinger's loyal butler Paolo Gabriele disclosed the pope's dirty secrets to the Italian media.

In fact, the damning documents detailing Ratzinger's secret rewarding of Vatican contracts to his friends and family members originated in the Vatican Secretary of State's office, which the fall-guy butler could not have had access to.

The Secretary of State and the real power behind the papacy is Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, an old insider who also engineered the sacking of Gotti Tedeschi, head of the Vatican Bank, last May.

Tedeschi had embraced the call of the European Parliament for "greater transparency" by the Vatican Bank /IOR, and was about to disclose to Brussels how his bosses had been laundering money for the mob for decades. The last Pope who had tried such a disclosure, John Paul 1, died from poisoning in September, 1978 after less than a month in office.

But even with Tedeschi silenced, the IOR house of cards kept tumbling, as the European Parliament seized from it 300 million Euros fraudulently acquired. Even the American Securities and Exchange Commission declared the IOR's assets and practices "insecure". A major Vatican housecleaning was required; or at least, the appearance of one.

It was the pivotal Cardinal Bertone who leaked the pope's diary and other incriminating papers to a catholic-friendly journalist in Rome last year (the same month that Tedeschi was sacked,) to prepare the world for Ratzinger's removal. For it is Bertone who is now reaping the benefits of the papal housecleaning. He is not only a primary contender for the pope's position but a key player in the IOR.

During my second speaking tour in Rome, in the spring of 2010, I met with several senior Italian senators and officials of the parliamentary Radical Party. They all said the same thing about why Joseph Ratzinger had been made pope, and what awaited him. To quote one of these politicians,

"Nobody becomes pope without a sordid past, because only with such liabilities can he be controlled by the Curia. It's the same in any big company. Well, Ratzinger made many indiscretions as a Cardinal and made many enemies. His signing letters ordering criminal concealment was just one sin. He was to be the scapegoat for all of the trash that the church knew would surface"

SCAPEGOAT

So now, the papal scapegoat is gone, pensioned off to wherever ex-popes end up; and the time for the big face-saving lie has arrived.

Putting lipstick on a decaying facade like the Church of Rome reminds me of Shirley MacLaine trying to look forty at the age of ninety. And yet appearances are everything in show business as well as in religion.

Tarcisio Bertone represents the old Italian crowd of the Curia, who are part of the Mob-government-papal clique that run the country and the Roman Catholic church. In the words of one of the Roman Senators I spoke with,

"You must understand that in my country, the Mafia and the government and the Vatican are all the same people, and they really have only one concern: protecting their assets."

Bertone, or whoever from the ranks of his victorious faction does assume the papal tiria, cannot be expected to do much but maintain the assets and security of the church, and that means continuing the policies of silence and dissimulation that keeps the cash flowing. But their position is more difficult now in the wake of the enormous rifts developing within the wider church, where Cardinals are facing criminal prosecution for shielding child rapists, and talk of disaffiliating from Rome is widespread among Irish, American and German Bishops.

"We have all the grounds for a second Reformation now. That's how serious is the crisis. The church will either rid itself of itself or face collapse" said an Italian media commentator recently.

It was easy to despise Joseph Ratzinger: the Hitler Youth-raised, reactionary bigot who sacked liberal and independent thinkers in his church as the Cardinal-head of the Vatican Inquisition, and who told American Bishops that purgatory awaited any of them who did not cover up priestly child rape. Even among fellow Cardinals, he was known as "Joe the Rat".

But Ratzinger was a made to order object-of-hatred, and put there to play out the oldest game in politics: the venting of popular rage on a disposable figurehead so that the institution itself could proceed unscathed.

I doubt that it's coincidental that Ratzinger was forced out of office so quickly barely ten days after our Common Law court published online hard evidence of the Pope's involvement in crimes against humanity. Any new Pope will face the same charges, of colluding in a massive criminal conspiracy.

But the real issue is not who or what will replace Joseph Ratzinger, but how to displace the Vatican itself as a criminal power unto itself. And that struggle is just commencing.

And I have been now been offered to write also a instant book with my journalist colleague Enrica Perucchietti on the particularity of the month of March as all Catholics will become sedevacantist for once.

Second Comment from Richard on the Prophesy of the Popes:

Cardinal Bertone is the Secretary of State of the Roman Curia, the structure that actually runs the Roman Church. As with the President of the United States, the Papal role is largely figurative. Theoretically he heads the Curia, but the real boss is Secretary of State.

Now, here's something that occurred to me tonight from the information that's come out.

The Prophecy of the Popes, attributed to Saint Malachy, is a list of 112 short phrases in Latin. They purport to describe each of the Roman Catholic popes (along with a few anti-popes), beginning with Pope Celestine II (elected in 1143) and concluding with current pope Benedict XVI's successor.

http://henrymakow.com/upload_images/Bertone.jpg(Left, Bertone giving an expert Masonic grip to a brother in Australia in 2007.)

The Prophecy of the Popes calls this last Pope "Peter the Roman". Nobody can resist a good prophecy. There's been buzz today on Catholic channels about Bertone's full name being Cardinal Tarcisio PIETRO Bertone of Romano, Turin, Italy.

You see the prophecy says this last Pope will pontificate over the destruction of Rome. A lot of bets were placed last year that Benedict XVI would be gone in 2012 so the last Pope could be seated before December 21st. (Only problem was that Catholics never used the Mayan long count Calendar. - a little humor there..)

Rumors that Bertone's election is a done deal because of his power with the Curia and the Italian faction may be overstated. Of 120 cardinal electors, only 28 are Italians, and nearly half are Hispanic, African and various Asian and others.

Historic, Breaking News: Wednesday, February 12/13, 2013 Pope Benedict resigned to avoid arrest, seizure of church wealth by Easter -
Diplomatic Note was issued to Vatican just prior to his resignation
New Pope and Catholic clergy face indictment and arrest as “Easter Reclamation” plan continues
A Global Media Release and Statement from The International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS)

Brussels:
The historically unprecedented resignation of Joseph Ratzinger as Pope this week was compelled by an upcoming action by a European government to issue an arrest warrant against Ratzinger and a public lien against Vatican property and assets by Easter.
The ITCCS Central Office in Brussels is compelled by Pope Benedict’s sudden abdication to disclose the following details:
1. On Friday, February 1, 2013, on the basis of evidence supplied by our affiliated Common Law Court of Justice (itccs.org (http://itccs.org/)), our Office concluded an agreement with representatives of a European nation and its courts to secure an arrest warrant against Joseph Ratzinger, aka Pope Benedict, for crimes against humanity and ordering a criminal conspiracy.
2. This arrest warrant was to be delivered to the office of the “Holy See” in Rome on Friday, February 15, 2013. It allowed the nation in question to detain Ratzinger as a suspect in a crime if he entered its sovereign territory.
3. A diplomatic note was issued by the said nation’s government to the Vatican’s Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, on Monday, February 4, 2013, informing Bertone of the impending arrest warrant and inviting his office to comply. No reply to this note was received from Cardinal Bertone or his office; but six days later, Pope Benedict resigned.
4. The agreement between our Tribunal and the said nation included a second provision to issue a commercial lien through that nation’s courts against the property and wealth of the Roman Catholic churchcommencing on Easter Sunday, March 31, 2013. This lien was to be accompanied by a public and global “Easter Reclamation Campaign” whereby Catholic church property was to be occupied and claimed by citizens as public assets forfeited under international law and the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court.
5. It is the decision of our Tribunal and the said nation’s government to proceed with the arrest of Joseph Ratzinger upon his vacating the office of the Roman Pontiff on a charge of crimes against humanity and criminal conspiracy.
6. It is our further decision to proceed as well with the indictment and arrest of Joseph Ratzinger’s successor as Pope on the same charges; and to enforce the commercial lien and “Easter Reclamation Campaign” against the Roman Catholic church, as planned.
In closing, our Tribunal acknowledges that Pope Benedict’s complicity in criminal activities of the Vatican Bank (IOR) was compelling his eventual dismissal by the highest officials of the Vatican. But according to our sources, Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone forced Joseph Ratzinger’s resignation immediately, and in direct response to the diplomatic note concerning the arrest warrant that was issued to him by the said nation’s government on February 4, 2013.
We call upon all citizens and governments to assist our efforts to legally and directly disestablish the Vatican, Inc. and arrest its chief officers and clergy who are complicit in crimes against humanity and the ongoing criminal conspiracy to aid and protect child torture and trafficking.
Further bulletins on the events of the Easter Reclamation Campaign will be issued by our Office this week.

I'm starting to put the picture together and I think what we're seeing is really huge.

The pope and the catholic church represent christ/st peter's legacy. Opposing them, you've got the talimudic jews who represent the pharisees which killed christ.

We saw several things just go down:
1) The central bank of Italy declined all electronic payments from the vatican, due to "failure to comply with EU safeguards against money laundering".
2) The secretary of the vatican (vatican bank head) released incriminating evidence to the authorities, triggering an investigation.
3) Of the new pope candidate waiting in the wings, "In October 2011 Cardinal Peter Turkson called for the establishment of a “global public authority” and a “central world bank” to rule over financial institutions"

What we're whitnessing is the talimudic zionist jews, after 2000 years, finally consuming the catholic church.

Yes who the hell has given the globalists any right to judge anyone? Certainly the case against child abuse in catholic church is a worthy one, but I can't see any reason why it can't be handled by legislation in the countries where it occurred? Most countries have existing legislation making pedophilia a criminal offence, with supposedly no perpetrator above the law. Sure it may be a stretch to convict Ratzinger as an accomplish, in most countries, but if he is guilty, shouldn't he get eternity in Inferno anyway quite soon? I see nothing positive in creating a globalist court for his punishment. That will be more of a devil than Ratzinger or anyone else...

About Background and Rationale
The abuse, trafficking, torture and murder of children appears endemic to European culture, and continues to be actively practiced, and condoned and protected, by church, state, judicial and police forces around the globe.
These same institutions are equally responsible for the historic genocide of indigenous peoples at the hands of European Christendom: an enormous crime against humanity which has never stopped, and continues to ravage and destroy the innocent and the earth.
Because these crimes have emerged from within the heart and laws of so-called western civilization, they have not faced judgment or accountability. We believe it is time for both.
Two of the main practitioners of this genocide of the innocent – the Vatican and the Crown of England – are effectively immune from prosecution under existing laws and customs. It is therefore incumbent upon all citizens to take action to safeguard their children in the face of the refusal of courts and governments to bring to justice those who threaten public safety and wellbeing.
On this basis, our Tribunal has been established to enforce common law and try and convict the institutions and their officers responsible for such historic and ongoing crimes against humanity. We therefore constitute a de jure Court under common law, with full power of arrest, conviction and enforcement.
We have issued a Public Summons to Joseph Ratzinger (aka “Pope Benedict”) and six senior cardinals in the Roman Catholic Church, inc. to appear before our opening session on September 12, 2011 in London. A similar Summons will be delivered to other church and state officials in the coming months.
Common Law peace officers working for our de jure Court and Tribunal will apprehend these persons and bring them to trial, and will enforce the verdicts of our Court, if regular peace officers refuse to do so.
Our Court and its officers will follow the normal Common Law rules of due process in all of its deliberations and decisions, guided by natural law principles of equity, reason and justice, and the maxim Actus nemini facit injuriam: The act of the law does no one wrong.
In addition, our Court will recognize and allow in its proceedings the Land Law tribal jurisdiction of any indigenous nations or persons who bring suit against those parties summoned to our Court.
It is understood by our Court that its decisions, based as they are on Natural and Common Law, supersede and invalidate all statutes and statutory laws which conflict with the decisions of the Court, particularly when those statues uphold crimes or their concealment, or the protection of the guilty. Similarly, our Court does not recognize the jurisdiction or authority of any contending legal systems, such as the so-called “Canon Law”, or any form of personal, diplomatic or legal immunity governing any person or institution, including heads of states, churches and corporations.
As a de jure Court and a popular forum to address grievances, crimes and consequences, our Tribunal is by definition a public process that can only fulfill its mandate with wide participation, especially from survivors of church and state crimes.
Accordingly, in other countries and communities, the Tribunal will seek to hold public forums to coincide with its London sessions, and which will be linked by simultaneous telecast, to allow people to present their affidavits and testimonies which will become part of the official Court transcript and Tribunal record.
The final verdicts and findings of the Court and Tribunal will be made public in the form of a final public Report whose decisions will be enforced by the Common law Peace Officers and their agents, if regular peace officers refuse to do so. These decisions can and will include the imprisonment and community sentencing of the guilty, the issuing of commercial Liens and Orders of Expropriation against church, corporate and state institutions and their property and assets, orders of Reparation and Compensation, and the return of all land, property, unpaid taxes, and revenue obtained through forced labor.
Our Court and tribunal derive their ultimate authority from the self-evident Natural Law which resides within the reason and compassion of every man and woman, and from the Common Law right of the informed citizenry to establish their own Courts, Policing and Laws when normal institutions fail or refuse to uphold the liberty, rights, safety and well being of the community.
Issued by the Legal Advisory Committee of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State – January 3, 2011

I see nothing positive in creating a globalist court for his punishment. That will be more of a devil than Ratzinger or anyone else...

Seems like the word international always means the International Banking Cabal. The Zio$...

Probably not in the Orthodox church. It is only the Western church in a state of terminal decline.

Pope Benedict to seek immunity and protection from
Italian President
Giorgio Napolitano on February 23 - International Tribunal calls on Napolitano to “not collude in criminality”, and announces global campaign to occupy Vatican property and launch human rights inquiry in Italy
Media Release from The International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State – Brussels
Rome (9 am local time):
Pope Benedict, Joseph Ratzinger, has scheduled a meeting with Italian President Giorgio Napolitano for Saturday, February 23 to discuss securing protection and immunity from prosecution from the Italian government, according to Italian media sources.
Ratzinger’s meeting follows upon the apparent receipt by the Vatican of a diplomatic note from an undisclosed European government on February 4, stating its intention to issue an arrest warrant for Ratzinger, who resigned from his pontificate less than a week later.
In response to the February 23 meeting, the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS), through its field Secretary, Rev. Kevin Annett, has written to President Napolitano, asking him to refrain from assisting Ratzinger in evading justice.

http://www.syncrenicity.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/01/CMRbanner1.jpg (http://www.syncrenicity.com/?attachment_id=1125) The ITCCS letter states, in part,
“I need not remind you, Mr. President, that under international law and treaties that have been ratified by Italy, you and your government are forbidden from granting such protection to those like Joseph Ratzinger who have aided and abetted criminal actions, such as ordering Bishops and Cardinals in America and elsewhere to protect known child rapists among their clergy.
“Your obligation to the Vatican through the Lateran Treaty does not negate or nullify the requirements of these higher moral and international laws; nor does it require that you give any protection or immunity to a single individual like Joseph Ratzinger, especially after he has left his papal office.”
A copy of the complete text of the ITCCS letter follows.
In response to the documented crimes of child torture, trafficking and genocide linked to Pope Benedict and Vatican officials, the ITCCS will be sponsoring a series of ongoing protests and occupations of Roman Catholic churches and offices through its affiliates around the world beginning in Easter week, March 24-31, 2013, and continuing indefinitely.
These actions will accompany the legal efforts to bring Joseph Ratzinger and other Vatican officials to trial for their proven complicity in crimes against humanity and criminal conspiracy.
The Easter Reclamation Campaign will seize church property and assets to prevent their use by child raping priests, who are protected under Catholic canon law. Citizens have this right to defend their communities and children when the authorities refuse to do so, under international law.
Rev. Kevin Annett and an official delegation from the ITCCS Central Office will also be convening a formal human rights inquiry in Rome commencing the week of May 13, 2013, to consider further charges against the Vatican and its new Pope for crimes against humanity and obstruction of justice.
Rev. Annett and his delegation will be working with organizations across Italy in this investigation. In 2009 and 2010, he held rallies outside the Vatican and met with media and human rights groups across Italy to charge the Vatican with the death of more than 50,000 aboriginal children in Canada.

Copy of letter to President Napolitano
An Open Letter and Appeal to Giorgio Napolitano, President of the Republic of Italy
from Rev. Kevin D. Annett, Secretary of the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State
14 February, 2013
Al Presdente della Repubblica Italiana
Giorgio Napolitano
Presidenza della Repubblica
c/o Palazzo del Quirinale
00187 Roma
Italia
Dear President Napolitano,
On behalf of our Tribunal and people of conscience everywhere, and of the millions of victims of church abuse, I am making an appeal to you regarding your upcoming meeting with Joseph Ratzinger, who will retire soon as Pope Benedict, the Pontiff of the Church of Rome.
Our understanding is that, in the wake of pressure to have him resign his office because of his proven complicity in concealing child trafficking in his church and other crimes against humanity, Joseph Ratzinger is seeking the assistance of the Italian government in securing protection and immunity from legal prosecution.
I need not remind you, Mr. President, that under international law and treaties that have been ratified by Italy, you and your government are forbidden from granting such protection to those like Jospeh Ratzinger who have aided and abetted criminal actions, such as ordering Bishops and Cardinals in America and elsewhere to protect known child rapists among their clergy.
Your obligation to the Vatican through the Lateran Treaties does not negate or nullify the requirements of these higher moral and international laws; nor does it require that you give any protection or immunity to a single individual like Joseph Ratzinger, especially after he has left his papal office.
The need for you to abide by international law and not be seen to collude with Joseph Ratzinger is even more true when one considers the enormity of the crimes of which the Vatican and its highest officials are clearly guilty, according to considerable evidence gathered and documented by our Tribunal and other groups, and acknowledged by many governments.
In Canada alone, the Roman Catholic Church and its Vatican agents have been found guilty of responsibility for genocide and the deaths of at least 50,000 aboriginal child children in the Jesuit-initiated Indian residential school system, that operated until 1996.
In Ireland, more than 10,000 women suffered and were exploited in the Catholic-run Magdalene Laundries, where many of them died. Similar church-run institutions all over the world have caused enormous mortality, disease and ruination for millions of children. And yet the church has never been held accountable or prosecuted for these deaths and the theft of enormous wealth from entire nations.
With the recent initiative of at least one European government and a host of lawyers to bring Joseph Ratzinger and other church officials to trial for these crimes, we feel it is incumbent on you neither to assist nor to be seen to assist or condone the attempt by him to evade, obstruct or delay justice, lest you open yourself to a charge of being an accessory to a crime.
On behalf of our Tribunal and of many people who cannot speak, I call on you to stand on the law of nations and humanity, and offer no support or protection to Joseph Ratzinger or his accessories in their efforts to evade responsibility for their proven crimes.
I look forward to your reply, and to discussing this with you more when I visit your country in May with a human rights delegation to investigate this matter more closely.
Sincerely,
Kevin D. Annett, M.A., M.Div.

Roman Church admits the Pope’s Guilt: Joseph Ratzinger to Evade Justice and Hide out in the Vatican for his own legal immunity and “protection” An Urgent Update from the International Tribunal into Crimes of Church and State (ITCCS) – Brussels
Rome:
In a statement to Reuters today, Vatican officials announced that Joseph Ratzinger will remain a permanent resident of Vatican City after his resignation. Doing so will offer him legal protection from any attempt to prosecute him in connection with sexual abuse cases around the world, Church sources said today
“His continued presence in the Vatican is necessary, otherwise he might be defenseless”.
This startling admission of guilt by the church is also a direct obstruction of justice, and lends more weight to the charge by the ITCCS and others that the Vatican has arranged with the Italian government to shield Ratzinger from criminal prosecution, in violation of international laws ratified by Italy.
Commentary
The Vatican decided today to give permanent sanctuary to a proven war criminal by allowing Joseph Ratzinger to obstruct justice and evade prosecution for crimes against humanity. And the government of Italy is colluding in this abrogation of international law.
This decision validates our claims about the criminal conspiracy surrounding Ratzinger and his Vatican co-conspirators. It also makes it clear that the Vatican is a rogue power that is flaunting every law to conceal its own criminality.
In response, the ITCCS calls upon its affiliates and all people of conscience to use our upcoming Easter Reclamation Campaign to converge on Rome and the Vatican to force the extradition of Ratzinger from Vatican City, and place him and his accessories on trial for crimes against humanity.
Commencing Sunday, March 24, 2013, our activists and others will begin an escalating series of Catholic church occupations and seizures of church property to bring about Ratzinger’s extradition and reclaim stolen wealth from the criminal corporation known as Vatican Inc. – in the name of the legion of their victims, both living and dead.
.. and from Kevin Annett – The Rat Scurries Back to Vat!
Those whom the gods destroy, they first drive insane. Especially, it seems, in Rome.
Why would the oldest and wealthiest institution on our planet deliberately prove what its critics say about it, by first tossing their leader, a proven crook, out of his office after he’s threatened with arrest, and then giving him shelter to avoid prosecution? That’s the kind of panic and illogic displayed by a junior document-shredder, not a credible or wise body of men.
And that gives all of us hope.
Rome’s incredible admission that they can’t have the Pope stand trial has strengthened our cause and legitimacy enormously, proving that no matter how big is your guilty opponent, provoking him for long enough will cause him to destroy himself by his own fear and stupidity.
Protecting Ratzinger within the walls of the Vatican may halt justice for a moment, but it violates a basic rule of warfare, which is to never give your enemy a permanent focus for their attack. Ratzinger, the evil Emperor, now a permanent fixture in the Vatican? The absurdity of offering such an ongoing focus to the civilized world’s hatred of catholic criminality is also a sign that the church is adrift and improvising. But it also shows how genuinely worried is the Vtaican about the legal offensive mounted by our affiliates, lawyers for torture survivors, and the International Criminal Court.
The Vatican is pulling out all stops to keep Ratzinger out of court. Their loyal, one-man owned Italian media is assaulting the crap out of yours truly and our ITCCS these days, playing the “Deny, Distract and Discredit” strategy of any damage-controlling corporation.
Tottering Liz Windsor, aka Queen of England, is making a special and unprecedented trip to Rome on March 6 to kiss the ring, or other parts, of the new CEO of Vatican Inc. And Italian President Napolitano is meeting with President Obama today in Washington to undoubtedly line up more American backing for the Pontiff – not that Obama needs much encouraging, having stood loyally behind Ratzinger’s claim of “diplomatic immunity”.
But all to no avail, ultimately. When the Bloody Emperor stands naked, only our illusions keeps him protected and immune from the final accounting that is coming.
The tornado that followed my first exorcism outside the Vatican in 2009, and the lightning that struck it on the day of Benedict’s resignation, were not accidental. Joe Ratzinger should know from the history of his own former SS buddies that criminal institutions can run, but they can’t hide – even behind all the wealth and pomp in the world.
Prepare for Easter! Flush the Rat from the Vat!
Stay tuned for plans of the Easter Reclamation Campaign at this website – itccs.org - Source (http://www.reuters.com/article/2013/02/15/us-pope-resignation-immunity-idUSBRE91E0ZI20130215)

From an email (from this site: http://moynihanreport.itvworking.com/ )

"Well," I said. "Thanks for talking with me. I want to ask you about the 300-page dossier of the three cardinals. The results of the investigation by Cardinals Julian Herranz, Josef Tomko e Salvatore de Giorgi.

(The Caffe San Pietro, a few steps from the Vatican press office. I met there on Sunday, after the Pope's last angelus, with Ignazio Ingrao, journalist for the Italian weekly Panorama, a widely read secular newseekly in Italy)

"All the recent articles about what the dossier contains, including the La Repubblica article on Thursday, February 21, by Concita De Gregorio, which was then picked up so dramatically by the world press, trace back to your article in Panorama, excerpts of which were published on the internet two days earlier, on February 19, though the actual date of the issue in which the article appeared is February 27. And now the Vatican has issued a communique denouncing the media for running articles not based on fact, aimed at influencing the Conclave. So I'm trying to pause and go back a bit here, to see how all this developed."

I pulled the magazine out of my briefcase and put it on the table.

"I just want to know more about how you found out about the contents of the dossier."

"No problem," Ignazio said. "But I have another appointment at 1:30, so we only have about half an hour."

A waiter came up.

"Due cappuccini," Ignazio said.

"E un cornetto semplice," I added. (A "cornetto" is a small, sweet brioche with a thick center and two pointed ends, one on each side, giving it the shape of a "horn," which is what the word "cornetto" means.)

(A pile of fresh "cornetti" in an Italian cafe)

"Well," I said. "Did you actually see the report?"

"No."

"You never set eyes on it?"

"No."

"Then how could you report on its contents? Did you talk with one of the three cardinals?"

"No, it wasn't like that," Ignazio said.

"My work was a careful work of reconstruction. I had been interested in the dossier for a long time, of course, and when the Pope resigned on February 11, my interest only increased. I very systematically sought out people in the Curia I thought might have been interviewed, and I spoke to them, one by one."

"How many?" I asked.

http://staticapp.icpsc.com/icp/loadimage.php/mogile/305005/40ddda47892b23e222667a80d75ef663/image/jpeg(Ignazio Ingrao, the Italian journalist who broke the story about the contents of the secret 300-page cardinals' dossier that was given to the Pope on December 17, and was said to have shocked him so much that it contributed to his decision to resign, announced on February 11)

"About 15," he said. "I asked them what the interview sessions were like, what the line of questioning was, and even, what their answers were. It was like working on a jig-saw puzzle.

"Bit by bit, I began to have the outlines of a picture. I could see what the cardinals were looking for. They wanted to know something about the cities where the monsignors were born, in what seminaries they had studied, who else in the Curia they knew from their cities and from their seminaries, what religious order they were in -- Salesian, Franciscan, Dominican, Jesuit -- whether they had studied at the Vatican's diplomatic academy..."

"Ok," I said. "That's clear enough. You say that in your article. You write: 'The report gives a photograph of the geographic currents, linked to the city or the region one comes from'... But you also write: 'But perhaps the part of the report that most shocked the Pope was the one that brought to light the existence of a network of friendships and of blackmailings against a backround of homosexuality, which is very present in some sectors of the Curia.' ('Ma forse la parte del rapporto che piu ha scioccato il Papa e quella che ha portato alla luce l'esistenza di una vera e propria rete di amicizie e di ricatti a sfondo omosessuale che e molto presente in alcuni settori della curia.')

(Below, the actual article by Ignazio Ingrao from the February 27 Panorama, which sparked a series of other reports in the world's media, and then led the Vatican Secretariat of State to issue a statement warning against media speculation and distortion. The title sayd: "The Secret Dossier Will Condition the Conclave." The parts of the article I cite below are on the second page, especially the lines at the bottom of the first and the top of the middle column)

"And you write: 'Some actually go so far as to call it the "gay lobby" of the Vatican.'

"But then," I said, "you use the word sarebbe, in the subjunctive.

"You say, 'this lobby sarebbe' (is said to be, or is thought to be, or is supposed to be, or should be) 'by far the most extensive and influential of all those present in the Vatican dicasteries.' ("Qualcuno si spinge addirittura a definirla la 'lobby gay' del Vaticano, che sarebbe di gran lunga la piu ramificata e influente di tutte quelle presenti nei dicasteri vaticani.")

"You even say that the report gives the first and last names of the members of this lobby.

"What evidence do you really have that the report actually say this?"

Ignazio didn't miss a beat. He was cool and collected.

"The theme of the gay lobby emerged because a few of the people who were questioned by the cardinals told me that the questions that they were asked were about this aspect," he said. "So, the commission explored this theme in depth. Especially in regard to the influence this could have in the exercise of authority in the Curia."

"So you do not think you are simply speculating here?"

"It was clear," Ignazio said. "The cardinals were specifically interested in this point. I heard this from several sources. I did not consider anything valid if I heard it from one source only. I required at least two or three sources telling me the same thing. If I heard it from two or more sources, if my sources confirmed one another, I knew I was hearing something with a basis in fact."

"But then," I said, "you still did not really know if this was really a factor in the Pope's decision to resign. Or did you?"

"I did," Ignazio said.

"How?"

"Because of the entire context, because of the dates, because tof the way everything unfolded. The Pope is the head of the Curia, and depends on the Curia, but last year it happened that papers were stolen from his very desk. His entire work was undermined. And so he asked the commission of three cardinals to investigate into the Curia, and they did so, for many months. Then, when they submitted their results, only seven weeks passed by before the Pope resigned. Of course, we cannot say that the report alone prompted the resignation. The Pope has an awareness of the situation of the Church throughout the world, going far beyond the Curia. But I think we have to say that the report played a role in the resignation decision."

"But you don't actually know that the Pope was shocked by the report..."

"Well, I wrote 'forse' ('perhaps')," Ignazio said. "Perhaps the part of the report that most shocked the Pope was the one that brought to light the existence of a network of friendships and of blackmailings against a background of homosexuality, which is very present in some sectors of the Curia..."

"Ok, I see," I said. "By saying 'forse' you took your distance from that assertion..." I paused. "And in the last part of the sentence, where you say homosexuality is 'very present' in 'some sectors' of the Curia?"

"That emerged from conversations with witnesses. It is what they told the commission of cardinals."

Our time was nearly up. We sipped our coffee and I ate my cornetto.

"Tell me a little about yourself," I said. "Panorama is a secular magazine, generally anti-clerical. Are you a Catholic?"

"I'm a Catholic, born in Rome, raised in Rome," he said. "I'm married and I have two children, eight years old and six years old. I believe in the importance of the spiritual dimension, of the sacred. And I love the Church. But I also love the truth. In everything I write, that is my goal, my only goal: the truth."

"What about the decision to promote Balestrero to be nuncio in Colombia?"

"Well, they say it wasn't a sudden decision, that it took some weeks, that the government of Colombia had to be informed and to accept the nomination. But there is no doubt that the appointment was in some ways not in keeping with ordinary Church procedures. Normally, a Vatican monsignor has a certain development in his career, according to a rather precise time-table: first one or two minor assignments abroad, five year in Africa, five years in Latin America, then five years in Rome, sometimes more, and then a major assignment, like becoming a nuncio. But he was moved at least two years early. This is, in any case, a bit unusual."

"One thing I really like about you article," I said, "was the last sentence. You write: 'But for the majority of the electors, it is already clear that from the Sistine Chapel must exit a Pope who cannot be blackmailed so that he can proceed to that action of purification that Ratzinger has entrusted to his successor.' ('Ma per la maggior parte degli elettori è già chiaro che dalla Cappella Sistina dovrà uscire un Papa non ricattabile per poter procedere a quell'azione di pulizia che Ratzinger ha affidato al successore.')

"Thanks," Ignazio said. "We are in agreement. The Pope should not have his hands tied."

"Absolutely. Totally agree," I said. "Great talking to you. I appreciate it."

"Any time," he said.

=============================

Later, I ran into an Italian jounalist friend, and mentioned that I had spoken to Ingrao and that he had stood by his story.

"His story was ultimately based on the work of an Italian priest, don Ariel S. Levi di Gualdo, who came out with an explosive book last year on this subject. That's the real source of this story. They say that all the cardinals received copies of his book, even Cardinal Herranz, the head of the commission of three cardinals which prepared the secret dossier given to the Pope on December 17."

"You're kidding," I said.

"Do you have his phone number?" I said.

I don't think these guys are worried so much if someone finds out they might be gay. People are just going to believe what they want to believe, and life will move on just the same.

Most of the world wouldn't even care all that much enough for it to force the issue. I think it goes deeper than that. I bet there's a ring operating, and certain elements are getting removed from potential questioning because they're gonna save their own butt over keeping the secret.

VATICAN CITY (AP) — Pope Francis says he has thought about when it might be time to "take leave" of his flock.

Francis made the comment during his morning homily Tuesday; the Vatican didn't release the full text.

Francis was reflecting on St. Paul discerning when to leave his flock in the care of others, a decision Francis said all bishops must make.

He said: "When I read this, I think about myself, because I'm a bishop and I'll have to take my leave."

Francis has said retired Pope Benedict XVI "opened a door" to future popes by resigning. While the 81-year-old pope has said he didn't envisage a long papacy, he hasn't said explicitly if he'd retire.

Francis may have also been referring to Chilean bishops implicated in a sex abuse cover-up scandal.

I know, right?!

Next Vatican will be letting clergy have sex. With females. Females with grass on the field. Even with "legal adult" & consenting ones... :o

I still think this whole thing is the zionist/satanist descendents of the pharisees finally consuming the church.

Ding, ding, ding! Good prediction 5 years ago. Globalist fag pope Francis took over the reigns, and has since replaced Christian doctrine with satanism. Holocaust is now more important than Jesus.

You got this already on the 13th of February 2013. Kudos!

Just within hours of resigning the Vatican was struck by lightning!

you figure HAARP can whip up a lightning strike like that at will? top of that dome is already the highest point around. And it appears they had that photo equipment all nicely set up for the perfect shot; that is, giving it the benefit of the doubt a being real.

NY Bishop Claims Age of Consent Should be 7 Years Old

NY Bishop Claims Age of Consent Should be 7 Years Old
A New York Catholic bishop has claimed that pedophile priests shouldn’t be held responsible if they rape children aged 7 and over as he believes that young boys are “culpable” for their own actions.

By Jay Greenberg

Bishop Robert Cunningham of the diocese of Syracuse, NY stated that priests have been wrongly accused of sexual abuse against young boys for centuries saying that “at 7-years-old, children know what they’re doing, so it isn’t rape”.

Bishop Cunningham made the shocking statements in his testimony, that was recently released, during a deposition in a federal lawsuit for mass child abuse by pedophile priests.

Counter Current News reports: Charles Bailey, a survivor of a priest’s abuse, asked then-Bishop James Moynihan whether the church held children victims partly responsible for sexual abuse by priests.

“(Bishop) Moynihan said that right to my face – ‘The age of reason is 7, so if you’re at least 7 you’re culpable for your actions.’ That kind of floored me,” said Bailey.

Obviously, the sentiment isn’t something one Bishop believes, but a broader excuse used to cover the guilt of sexual predators.

The “age of reason” may be seven years old, but that in no way makes it the “age it’s the kid’s fault he was raped.”

According to church doctrine, seven is the age a child should understand the difference between right and wrong.

It’s also the age a child is eligible for communion.

A spokesman for the diocese has been trying to defend the bishop, saying that his statements in a deposition don’t mean he believes children are responsible for being raped and that it was “unfair to use the deposition to characterize his position otherwise.”

“Unfair” may not quite cut it where this man is concerned.

When pressed on the issue, he said it wasn’t his place to know how much guilt was on the victim’s hands.

The simple answer, “none,” became another distorted version of reality that somehow makes it at least partially a child’s fault when a priest abuses him.

“Well, I mean, without knowing the circumstances completely, did the boy encourage, go along with (it) in any way?” Cunningham asked.

The lawyer asked Cunningham if he could imagine any circumstance in which a 14 or 15-year-old boy could be held responsible in the eyes of the church when a priest asks him to engage in sex.

“Obviously, what the priest did was wrong,” Cunningham said. “You’re asking me if the young man had any culpability, and I can’t judge that.”

Actually, you can judge that. Anyone can judge that.

What happened is priests used their influence and position as “messengers of God” to force children to comply with their perverted sexual desires.

In the very least they were forced to make adult decisions they didn’t have the capacity to make.

This bishop and all the priests he defended with this mindless argument betrayed the trust of the parishioners and especially the children of the Diocese of Syracuse.

Charles Bailey has circulated a petition he intends to present to Pope Francis in Philadelphia during his visit to remove Bishop Cunningham as the head of the church there.

E. Michael Jones on why the Pope should resign; Brian Ruhe continues the conversation on religion and sexuality (https://kevinbarrett.heresycentral.com/2018/08/jones-brown/)

First hour: E. Michael Jones, editor of Culture Wars (http://www.culturewars.com) magazine, argues that Pope Francis ought to become the second pope in a little over five years to resign. Such calls for the Pope’s resignation have followed the release of a letter by Archbishop Vigano (https://www.scribd.com/document/387040553/TESTIMONY-of-His-Excellency-Carlo-Maria-Vigano-Titular-Archbishop-of-Ulpiana-Apostolic-Nuncio#from_embed) accusing Francis of removing papal sanctions imposed by his predecessor, Benedict, against credibly-accused sexual predator and ex-Cardinal Theodore McCarrick—despite knowing about McCarrick’s wide-ranging depradations. (Vigano says he forcefully told Francis about McCarrick’s history of wide-ranging sexual abuse, and even handed Francis a detailed dossier…and yet Francis essentially rehabilitated McCarrick!)

https://kevinbarrett.heresycentral.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/08/hqdefault-1.jpg

Mike Jones and I met in Tehran, where Mike seemingly “predicted” Pope Benedict’s resignation just hours before it was reported. Was Francis elevated to the Papacy to front for a cabal of “sexual freemasons (https://www.veteranstoday.com/2013/03/13/popecrisis/)“? I first heard that rumor even before Francis was elected Pope. As I wrote in “Pope Benedict Fired by the Knights of Malta? (https://www.veteranstoday.com/2013/02/11/was-pope-benedict-fired-by-the-knights-of-malta/)“: “Here’s the hot rumor going around Italy, passed to me by journalist Roberto Quaglia: Pope Benedict was fired in order to pave the way for a new Pope who will sanction homosexual marriage, non-celibate priests, and other projects aimed at sexualizing and de-sacralizing the Church. According to this analysis, the judeo-freemasonic secret societies responsible for Vatican II have been pushing Benedict to allow gay marriage and a sex-lovin’ priesthood – but Benedict’s eternal response is ‘not on my watch!’ So, goeth the rumor, they ended Benedict’s watch.”

Will Catholics who don’t want the Church to turn into a gigantic freemasonic gay bar succeed in taking back the Vatican?

Brian Ruhe Second hour: Ellen Brown (http://ellenbrown.com) was planning to discuss her latest article “Banks Are Becoming Obsolete in China—Could the U.S. Be Next? (https://ellenbrown.com/2018/08/23/how-chinas-mobile-ecosystems-are-making-banks-obsolete/)” We were also planning to discuss the coming annihilation of the US dollar (https://www.cnbc.com/2018/08/27/the-anti-dollar-awakening-could-be-ruder-and-sooner-than-most-economists-predict.html) which is being led by Russia and China (https://safehaven.com/investing/forex/Dollar-Dominance-In-Global-Finance-Is-Fading-Fast.html). Will the end of dollar hegemony crash the US economy (http://news.goldseek.com/GoldSeek/1535454000.php)? Is it just a coincidence that just hours after Russia declared all-out war on the US dollar (https://www.rt.com/business/436727-russia-stop-using-dollar/), the Russian Central Bank suddenly and mysteriously went up in flames (https://www.rt.com/news/436786-central-bank-moscow-fire/)?

Unfortunately I was unable to connect with Ellen. So that show will have to wait. Instead, I wound up bringing on Buddhist Studies teacher Brian Ruhe (http://www.brianruhe.ca) to continue the first hour discussion of religion and sexuality.

Is this the end of the Catholic church?

unfortunately not, they will still be here during the "Time of Jacob's trouble" otherwise known to most people as the "great tribulation"

Revelation 17:5 And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.

The good news she gets it in the end

Revelation 18:8 Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.
