Alan Watt seems to have a devoted fan base, but he's never grown on me. It's not what he says, but rather how he says it. His voice, cadence etc (when it's just him droning on monologing)... cure for insomnia for me! Plus, as native English speaker accents go, the Scots are the most alien to my ears, and it takes half my mental energy just deciphering! (He is Scottish, right? But NZer Vinnie Eastwood seems to believe he's scored a coup in getting Watt as guest on his show. I just started listening, but I suspect Watt will be like several other 'Truth Gurus' (DBS, AJ) who, IMHO, is a better listen when they're a guest on another host's show, as opposed to their doing a solo monolog.
