Shortly after contacting the company to find out more about the series, the marketing team at Law Enforcement Targets, Inc. sent Riggs the following statement:
The subjects in NMH targets were chosen in order to give officers the experience of dealing with deadly force shooting scenarios with subjects that are not the norm during training.
I found while speaking with officers and trainers in the law enforcement community that there is a hesitation on the part of cops when deadly force is required on subjects with atypical age, frailty or condition (one officer explaining that he enlarged photos of his own kids to use as targets so that he would not be caught off guard with such a drastically new experience while on duty*). This hesitation time may be only seconds but that is not acceptable when officers are losing their lives in these same situations.

I could see how these sorts of targets could be used for filtering out the good people in these departments. If someone complains about or hesitates to shoot these targets then they get on the shit list. Those that really relish it get moved up the ranks.

My experience with LE firearms training, all silhouette targets. Black and white, with a vague shape of a person. All people regardless of race or color have one thing in common, center mass.

For the DHS to practice on targets like this...much less all WHITE targets, is to desensitize their minds. It's pure programming. You fire a 1000 rounds at an old dude with overalls and a shotgun. Worse, a smiling kid. You do that enough times, you alter your mind to what is 'acceptable' to shoot at.

Hence, the blank silhouette targets we practiced on. Blank, could be anyone.

LE does not use these targets. Either this site is a gimmick, a complete joke...or a .gov profiling tool. Could it be a .gov site has a bunch of, what they claim LE targets...then implant targets of kids, joe neighbor, and pregnant women? to trap "potential terrorists".

These are targets. I'm not buying the argument of "shoot or don't shoot" situations. If LE and DHS are actually training with these targets, they are programming their minds to allow for situations where they will fire upon normal folks who have guns. They are preparing for pregnant women, and kids, to be "threats" and they are practicing shooting at these people.

The disturbing question is, why? The answer to that question, is to prepare for the future and desensitize the person who is being trained with these targets.

The best way to train for active shooter situations, is by simunitions. Primed paint bullets. Like a paint gun on steroids. That's the most real type of training. That's tests your ability to actually prove yourself in a "shoot or don't shoot" scenario. You pull the trigger bang. That involves real people, scenarios of real threats, or no threats...

Don't listen to any argument that these targets are used for shoot or don't shoot training.

These targets are meant to be fired upon, and then count the bullet holes in the target to see if your average american pregnant lady is a threat anymore....
