You can't make this stuff up.

Baltimore, MD (KTNV) -- A student in Baltimore was suspended over breakfast.

7-year-old Josh Welch was eating a Pop-Tart at school. A teacher saw the pastry and said she thought it looked like it was being shaped into a gun (http://foxbaltimore.com/news/features/featured/stories/7yearold-suspended-teacher-says-he-shaped-pastry-into-gun-635.shtml#.UTOomDBJKpB).

The teacher also said she heard Welch say, "Bang Bang" while he was holding it.
That was enough to get him suspended.

Welch said his teacher got it completely wrong, "It was already a rectangle and I just kept on biting it and tore off the top, and it kind of looked like a gun but it wasn't."

Welch said he was trying to shape the Pop-Tart into a mountain.

The school sent out a letter late in the day to parents explaining what happened and why they thought it was a threat saying, "A student used food to make an inappropriate gesture."

Welch was suspended for two days.

I have seen 10 stories like this in the last month or so....And not one of these parents have puled their children out of the Government brainwashing and obedience centers. NOT ONE.

They get what they deserve.

All that they are doing is shaping the next generation to be anti-guns so the they will turn in their families ... there is always a reason for anything and averything.

How do you not make the shape of a gun when you eat a pop tart? I mean, the thing's a rectangle, if you take a bite out of the corner, it automatically takes the shape of a gun. What, are there regulations that you have to bite out of the middle of the pop tart?

A pencil is more dangerous tha a pop tart and so is a pen, point of a compas, the wire from a note book and a lot more and of course.......your brain.

A Baltimore area elementary school recently suspended a seven year old boy for chewing a breakfast pastry into a shape resembling a gun (http://foxbaltimore.com/news/features/featured/stories/7yearold-suspended-teacher-says-he-shaped-pastry-into-gun-635.shtml). There also seems to be some dispute over whether the boy said “bang bang” after doing so (some also claim there might have been a second Pop-Tarter on the grassy knoll).
For any students who were traumatized by the frightening toaster strudel ordeal, counseling is available (http://www.nbcnews.com/id/51045306/ns/local_news-washington_dc/):

The school sent home a letter to parents saying, “During breakfast this morning, one of our students used food to make inappropriate gestures that disrupted the class. While no physical threats were made and no one was harmed, the student had to be removed from the classroom.”
Parents should talk to their children if they’re troubled by the incident, the school said, and the school counselor will be available for any student who needs to talk.
It’s been pointed out (http://shekel.blogspot.com/2013/03/graven-images-and-zero-tolerance.html) that because the Pop Tart had a filling, the pastry weapon was likely considered to be loaded — a much more egregious zero-tolerance violation indeed — hence the suspension.
The letter sent to the parents of students is here (http://www.loweringthebar.net/2013/03/update-ii-school-offers-counseling-for-students-troubled-by-pastry-gun-incident.html). The educators will now undoubtedly insist that any Pop Tarts consumed on school property undergo a mandatory 24-hour cooling off period after coming out of the toaster.

^ Hence the child's mistake in pretending it was a gun, and not a penis. Like GoD aptly posted earlier in this thread, the boy would have been awarded if he showed the open mindedness to eat the pop tart in a faux act of fellatio on a penis shaped pastry.

This is exactly why they dont need to confiscate your guns. While you were busy worrying about the politics, they were busy turning your children against you. In 10 years it wont matter, because 90% of the young adults will be anti-gun.

They plan LONG TERM, while most Americans think in 30 second increments, if that.

Not quite 10 years, more like 25-30. This is moving forward in full generations. Each generation has their own issues the government imposed upon them (fiat money, economic controls, war on poverty, war on drugs, now the war on guns). My great grandparents, grandparents, and parents couldn't stop it, and honestly I don't know how to stop them today. I love my kids but get very discouraged every time I think about the future, 20-30 years from now.
