i guess if you say, "i'm a sovereign citizen. i honor the US Constitution, but the US government is a criminal terrorist organization, so i avoid them" ... that might invite scrutiny ?

This fact is, the Lord is allowing things to go on for the Gospel's sake, once that's over...it's ALL over.
Arming yourself with scripture and doing what you can to fulfill the great commission (like witnessing) is the ONE thing that TPTB cannot stop as God wants it.
