Planck Reveals an "Almost" Perfect Universe
(http://www.esa.int/Our_Activities/Space_Science/Planck/Planck_reveals_an_almost_perfect_Universe)
[The devil is in the details- JQP]

[This is a much awaited announcement amongst cosmologists, astrophysicists, etc. This date was set years ago. It did not turn out as they had wished (and many knew in advance). JQP]

"...But because precision of Planck’s map is so high, it also made it possible to reveal some peculiar unexplained features that may well require new physics to be understood..."

"...One of the most surprising findings is that the fluctuations in the CMB temperatures at large angular scales do not match those predicted by the standard model – their signals are not as strong as expected from the smaller scale structure revealed by Planck..."

"...Another is an asymmetry in the average temperatures on opposite hemispheres of the sky. This runs counter to the prediction made by the standard model that the Universe should be broadly similar in any direction we look..."

[isotropy is dead; Planck was launched in hopes of erasing these same findings in WMAP and COBE. But it did not suceed- JQP]

"...The asymmetry and the cold spot had already been hinted at with Planck’s predecessor, NASA’s WMAP mission, but were largely ignored because of lingering doubts about their cosmic origin..."

[There were no doubts, only hopes of the mainstream, $100biilions funded scientists; Notice the results were "largely ignored. This has happened often since scientists accepted Copernicus. What is claimed to be science is largely bad philosophy.- JQP]

"...“The fact that Planck has made such a significant detection of these anomalies erases any doubts about their reality; it can no longer be said that they are artefacts of the measurements. They are real and we have to look for a credible explanation,” says Paolo Natoli of the University of Ferrara, Italy..."

"...“Imagine investigating the foundations of a house and finding that parts of them are weak. You might not know whether the weaknesses will eventually topple the house, but you’d probably start looking for ways to reinforce it pretty quickly all the same,” adds François Bouchet of the Institut d’Astrophysique de Paris...."

[i.e., time to start lying through your teeth, because the truth cannot be revealed- JQP]

"...[B]One way to explain the anomalies is to propose that the Universe is in fact not the same in all directions on a larger scale than we can observe. In this scenario, the light rays from the CMB may have taken a more complicated route through the Universe than previously understood, resulting in some of the unusual patterns observed today.

“Our ultimate goal would be to construct a new model that predicts the anomalies and links them together. But these are early days; so far, we don’t know whether this is possible and what type of new physics might be needed. And that’s exciting,” says Professor Efstathiou..."

[New physics? How about old philosophy/theology? JQP]

[THIS IS THE DAY THE COPERNICAN PRINCIPLE DIED. Many of you will laugh today, but 5 years from now (or sooner) you will agree. JQP]

[Planck was supposed to make all this go away, but rather it highlighted the truth. This proves that science does work sometimes. Now let's see what philosophy and politics do with it. This is why The Principle was filmed. JQP].

I don't think having assymmetry in the universe in terms of background temperature would be an indication that Copernicus was wrong. I would say it is an indication big bang theory is wrong, along with many other things indicating the same...

After seeing those last 2 responses ,

my centrist thinking cap fell on the floor & I've retreated into watching Bob Lazar alien videos.

Yes it is an indication that the big bang is wrong. But, the CMB anisotropies, when deconvoluted in spherical harmonics show direct correlations to the earth's equinoxes and earth's ecliptic plane. This says that the CMB has signals within it that form an axis that travels through the earth. The CMB is not supposed to know about the earth, but yet it does. Cosmologists have labeled this axis "The Axis of Evil". Remember- good is bad, bad is good. Planck was their final attempt to make the axis go away. It did not suceed. Now they are talking about "new physics". Max Tegmark is talking about the multiverse (i.e., infinite universes). This is all desperation to make the axis go away.

But the axis is there. If you are for truth, then recognize its significance.

I do not know who designed it. We have another one ( www.theprinciplemovie.com ) that is similar. I think it is only trying to say that the light (truth) was blocked, but now it is allowed to come through again. Do you have something specific?
