Pause at 55 seconds, count up 5 from the middle row. 7 squares around there are larger than the rest.

How it fits into the box with the three pieces removed... :confused:

His starting grid and finishing grid in which 3 are removed are definitely different. The starting grid is distorted and there are plenty of partial pieces along the edges where they connect. See below.

With the three pieces removed all the squares look uniform.
