have about 20 jars i dry canned with oxy absorbers in glass jars around 2008. still good or rancid?

Are they just the tortellini or are they filled with something? Dried pasta shouldnt turn rancid... but what they are filled with my be. Crack a can open smell it and taste it. Thats the only real way you can tell anything.

Yeah... cheese could be a problem.... but even some of what they call cheese isnt really cheese. If the inside filling is totally dried out it might... I say might be OK. I would cook up a small portion and see what it looks like cooked and what it smells like. It would suck to throw all of that out if it is still OK. You have to be you best judge I guess.

Serve it to your least favorite kid. This is what kids are for. :)
If the kid gets sick, don't eat it yourself. Save it to give to the zombies when shtf.

boil it to kill the germs.
do a test, eat part of one.
if it tastes all right, eat 1/2 of one.
if you still don't get sick, eat a whole one.
if it all tests good, break out the frog legs ! :)

My dad lovingly used us as test subjects for food rancidity. Now he is sick and we are well.
