I'm not an investor in terracoins, but I thought this chart was crazy. It all happened over the period of a few hours.

It went up 300% in just a few hours.

What's the market cap?

I wouldn't recommend buying it, but it's a very small market. It's a speculative bubble. Only Bitcoin is used as currency, and to a lesser extent Litecoins.

Yesterday there was about 400 BTC ($40,000) invested in TRC (I'm going by memory), but now it's 710 BTC ($71,000). This market is considered completely dead like 16 hours ago.

I switched to mining terracoins instead of litecoins a few hours before the start of that chart.

I mined two blocks (20 each) solo mining overnight and then the price started going up and everyone jumped on the band wagon and the difficulty went through the roof.

I did solo a third block last night when I was running one card solo and one on a pool.

I have been trying to use the pools but it is a cluster fuck. Terracoin has been having some issues and made some changes in the blockchain algorithm and there is a hard fork in the block chain. Anyone without an updated client could be SOL with their coins. The pools have been crashing and are unreliable so ...

Back to solo mining.

I feel like I am late to the party again. Best time to mine coins is when nobody wants them. If I had started mining for terracoin a few days earlier I would have hundreds by now.

I agree they are more of a gamble but you can always mine them and then exchange them for LTC or BTC.

Back to litecoin mining for now. The difficulty level has gone too high and terracoins are less profitable to mine then bitcoin even.

Folks, I've created solidcoin. The great thing about solidcoins is they are backed by silver. Right now, send me 1 oz of silver, physical, and you will have 1000 solidcoins poof added to your digital wallet. The price will only go up.

I don't understand why the difficulty level of terracoin continues to climb. When it made the quick jump from .19 to .55 bitcoins I can understand why people switched to mining it. It actually was more profitable to mine then litecoin and bitcoin for awhile. Now the price has pulled back a little but the difficulty continues to climb. It is the least profitable to mine yet difficulty continues to increase.

This should be a reminder to everyone to stay current on the events around coins they hold This change fast in crypto land.

I sold my TRC a long time ago when I realized they were in a long term decline. So I didn't do too poorly on them.
