i was thinking, Bernank had a knob-shining date with Israel.


the mumblings on financial websites, is that Bernank was pissed because of how the EMU handled the Cyprus situation. threatening to undo all the "good work" (?) Bernank had done to pseudo-rescue the US economy.

although from a distance it's hard to know what Bernank is thinking, i get the impression that he is "over it", as far as his desire to play Grand Money Manager.


maybe if he quits now, before the next big "THUNK" in the economic night, he can command higher speaking fees. e.g. $50K instead of $25K. if he leaves the Fed AFTER the US economy has obviously cratered, his post-Fed-Chairman earning capacity is reduced.

sort of a career move, get out now while he can still pull in a few $Million a year on post-Fed-Chairman speaking duties, knob-polishing ceremonies, etc.
