Dear CIGAs,

I am writing to provide an update to the original post on JSMineset dated April 19, 2013. Click here to view the original post…

In the gold chart provided back in April, there were two dates: the first May 2-3 and the second May 10-13, 2013 were noted as turn dates.

May 2-3 was to mark a short term high. If you check the price of gold you will see it did! Gold’s daily time clock from the rise off the April 15, 2013 low ended May 3, 2013.

The next date, May 10-13 is to mark the low off the May 2-3 high for both gold and silver.

With regards to silver, this is a time for extreme caution! What is next? May 9-10, 2013… the drop! The question is how low will it go? The bottom comes in either Friday May 10, 2013 or Monday May 13, 2013. Will support at $22 hold or not? That is the big question. Again until May 13, 2013 has passed, silver is extremely vulnerable to a support break!

Gold’s low will hold due to its impressive rise since its bottom April 15, 2013.

Have a great day,

CIGA Bo Polny

The cynic in me says that the government looks upon private holdings of silver american eagles as the de facto US strategic stockpile of silver. Whether they would order Americans to surrender said eagles to the government in time of emergency need or offer to purchase them at a competitive price, I think government is clearly "counting on" being able to tap into that domestic silver supply [eagles] if necessary.

Brother John videos are excellent - they are required watching if you are a silver stacker, which I am!

Brotherjohnf always has a interesting, logical, objective take on the markets, in particular, silver. I consider him to be a good man

I am already situated and smiling at what others say or do about silver......some day the US government will call silver a "strategic" material, rather than gold, and recall, grab, steal, or do what ever they have to do to take all silver above ground....just wait and see.

This had not occurred to me, but you make an excellent point.
I knew that the gov't might try to grab people's PM's in general, but it hadn't occurred to me that by stamping "United States of America" on them that they might be setting it up to grab them back later. Maybe I should start buying more silver rounds or Canadian 1 oz. silver coins (whatever their equivalent to the ASE is).

Btw, thanks y'all for the info on Brother John; guess I'm late to the party but I wasn't familiar with his site.

It's a double-edge sword: the USA stamp makes them very liquid and assures a small premium; but legally the state can claim ultimate ownership in extremis. If the Treasury did declare a mandatory recall, I expect that there would be a rash of boating accidents and a boom in backyard kiln sales.;D

actually you can achieve the 1750 degrees Fahrenheit type temperatures, needed for melting silver, quite repeatedly using a well-constructed camp-fire.

i have 3 or 4 silver crosses that i cast using a camp-fire, and a simple machined iron mold.

only one of them filled the mold completely.

one of my industrial arts instructors told me that's how silver work was done centuries ago, in molds in camp-fires.

of course, the type of wood is important. oak burns about 200 degrees hotter than pine. and you need a lot of oak. and the mold needs to be held level in the fire, and it needs to be covered. having a bellows helps a lot.

I think there WILL be a recall due to a shortage. Obvious setup. You wont even be able to cash them in anywhere because it will all be regulated. All you will be able to do is barter and trade for many years.

You are unusually well informed! I will make a mental note of this.;D
