What's up with Mizzoura? Hey Mouse, what's your take?

Missouri Legislature Nullifies All Federal Gun Control Measures by a Veto-Proof Majority (http://www.activistpost.com/2013/05/missouri-legislature-nullifies-all.html)

As law, HB436 would nullify virtually every federal gun control measure on the books – or planned for the future. It reads, in part:

All federal acts, laws, orders, rules, and regulations, whether past, present, or future, which infringe on the people’s right to keep and bear arms as guaranteed by the Second Amendment to the United States Constitution and Article I, Section 23 of the Missouri Constitution shall be invalid in this state, shall not be recognized by this state, shall be specifically rejected by this state, and shall be considered null and void and of no effect in this state.
(2) Such federal acts, laws, orders, rules, and regulations include, but are not limited to:(a) The provisions of the federal Gun Control Act of 1934;
(b) The provisions of the federal Gun Control Act of 1968;
(c) Any tax, levy, fee, or stamp imposed on firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition not common to all other goods and services which could have a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by law-abiding citizens;
(d) Any registering or tracking of firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition which could have a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by law-abiding citizens;
(e) Any registering or tracking of the owners of firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition which could have a chilling effect on the purchase or ownership of those items by law-abiding citizens;
(f) Any act forbidding the possession, ownership, or use or transfer of any type of firearm, firearm accessory, or ammunition by law-abiding citizens; and
(g) Any act ordering the confiscation of firearms, firearm accessories, or ammunition from law-abiding citizens.
The legislation also includes misdemeanor criminal penalties if agents of the federal government attempt to enact gun control measures that violate the Constitution of the United States and State Constitution of Missouri.

Wow, they just repealed all gun laws on the books. Period.

I'd say a nice missouri FF would be in order, but they've pretty much FF'ed themselves out recently. They're really really risky to do now.

They are trying to oust the governator. He has been involved with scandals related to releasing all CCW info's to L.E. and feds as well as some graftish stuff surrounding how drivers licenses and CCW are handled. He will have no choice but to veto this and they will scream "gungrabber"! The feds will shut off all funding if a state actually puts teeth into a 10th stand, and then all the free shit armies will go berzerk. I would like to jump up and say "yay" but it's just a bunch of more bullshit.

MO is so deep in federal funding there is no way out. The nigs in the cities and medicaid/foodstamps crowds everywhere else will prevent any meaningful 10th stand.

Pass it and watch the feds shut off funding.....

Pass it and watch the feds shut off funding.....

What happens if they ban federal income taxes or something and redirect them to the state?

Medicaid is the United States (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States) health (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_health_care_system) program for families and individuals with low income and resources. It is a means-tested (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Means_test) program that is jointly funded by the state and federal governments, and is managed by the states

SNAP The federal government pays 100 percent of SNAP/Food Stamp program benefits. Federal and State governments share administrative costs (with the federal government contributing nearly 50 percent).

Does that mean you can buy a new machine gun in Missouri?

I guess it depends on what state gun laws are

I guess it depends on what state gun laws are

I am thinking this "federal Gun Control Act of 1934" controlled machine guns at a federal level.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act

"The purpose of the NFA[1] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act#cite_note-1) was to regulate what were considered "gangster weapons" such as machine guns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_guns) and short barreled shotguns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sawed-off_shotgun).[2] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act#cite_note-2) Originally, pistols and revolvers were to be regulated as strictly as machine guns; towards that end, cutting down a rifle or shotgun to circumvent the handgun restrictions by making a concealable weapon was taxed as strictly as a machine gun."

But actually, it was a later act that did them in:

"The domestic manufacture of new machine guns (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Machine_gun) that civilians could purchase was effectively banned by language in the Firearm Owners Protection Act (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firearm_Owners_Protection_Act) of 1986 (also known as "McClure-Volkmer"). The language was added in an amendment from William J. Hughes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_J._Hughes) and referred to as the Hughes Amendment.[24] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Firearms_Act#cite_note-24) Machine guns legally registered prior to the date of enactment (i.e. May 1986) are still legal for possession by and transfer among civilians where permitted by state law."

I understand your point- Missouri may have a state law against civilian new machine gun purchases.
