Here's The Deal

I'll make this brief.

I've enjoyed the people I met at GIM and later GSUS a handful of them I've met offline. This place and GIM were special places for people to discuss ideas. However this forum has also had serious serious problems with trolls and it has driven some of my favorite posters off. Antonio, Russkie, joe king, mayhem to name a few that I think everyone can agree on were trolls. I took many many many months to rid the forum of these people and it did irrevocable harm. I posted about it at the time, and I left for a few months I believe in 2011 over it.

So the situation became that some of my favorite posters left or were banned, I have no way to contact them, these are people I've learned very much from over the years and so I created a place to reunite the old time GIMMers. I was left with really no alternative, GSUS is losing my favorite members seemingly monthly sometimes with no warning and I think that sucks. I didn't say anything about it here except to a very very small group. Magnes being one of them, the gist of what I said was "look you think GSUS is overrun by trolls, they don't appreciate what you say so let's build something over here with people like Fred, Wildcard, DMAC and a few more and let GSUS go in the direction it wants to go. I think and still do that it would be the best for both forums. This is exactly why I never said anything about it publicly over here, I didn't want to be seen as divide and conquer and it isn't since the very vast majority of posts and current members are from people who were either banned or left on their own accord. So that argument is just non sense.

Let it be known that personally I have no beef with JQP or certainly madfranks who I've met and seems like a helluva guy. Lest we all forget without JQP odds are most of us would've been scattered to the wind by now.

I've said to everyone on my forum privately that I wish no harm on GSUS, I still enjoy it here, I still post here, and I hope to continue to post here although realistically if my forum grows it will be less and less.


So see this for what it is, it isn't a forum split, it isn't a divide and conquer it is just someone who has had a blog since Nov 07 and has had plans to have a forum finally got off his ass and did it and called a few old friends to help. The internet is a big place and plenty of room for 1 more forum.

There is always going to be members who "troll" by way of trying to make their viewpoint the "accepted" viewpoint by the majority. It's just simple human nature. "My way is the right way and if you don't agree you're a troll!" I guess I don't see it as that black and white.

Yes we have many people who's only job is to forment discord. But if we really take an honest unbiased look, we have "trolls" at both ends of the spectrum. Magnes has his opinion and he will always have his opinion. I think many of us might see a hint of paranoia in his "tracking" of everything everyone has ever said, but hey, if that's what he enjoys spending his day doing, then good for him. Lots of people like him and his opinions and that's a good thing.

At the other end of the spectrum there's people like Book that don't ever seem to take anything too seriously, but also seem to come off as a child constantly kicking you in the shin until you want to slap him. But he's a cute kid and lots of people like him, so if you do smack him, you're going to upset a lot of people that like that kid with the devlish smile and a funny innocent picture to laugh at, and prolong your misery of sore shins. I for one actually enjoy the his wit so he's never bugged me, but I can see why he might rub some wrong.

Even Ponce has his moments, but all and all I really enjoy his cuban ramblings.

I guess what I'm trying to say is what we have here is never going to be perfect, but in my opinion it encompasses the "rules" that we all want to live by for the most part. Having a forum with everyong having the same opinion on everything is going to get real boring real fast and then what do you have? Just another forum like the Agora that just shriveled away.

Each one of us knows who's values and opinions we agree with. When looking at a post, we can choose what to respond to and what to just skip. Obviously if a post survives for long then there's strong opinions at work and a large enough group wants to have "their" say. I really don't see what's wrong with this. No one is ever going to force any of us to believe one way or another.

Life goes on. We need to stop taking some of these stupid forum disagreements so seriously and stop chasing this idea that some day there will be the "perfect" forum. It'll never exist, the grass will always be greener, but will still be full of just as many green little trolls hiding in the blades of grass.

One more thing, people often accuse book of "never posting anything of value" just trolling and trying to get a reaction. Just to put this baby to bed, around people that will understand and appreciate deeper things, he posts deeper things. I'm not going to speak for him but consider that maybe if he just posts a picture instead of a long drawn out essay that he does it because you wouldn't understand, or be able to handle the essay and he'd rather get a laugh from a pic than get frustrated arguing with inferiors.

Different forums serve different purposes. This one started as a freedom forum. I'm not saying it isn't still a freedom forum - it is free - but the main thrust has moved to more of a social club without a whole lot of hardcore conspiracy discussion anymore. That's fine. I enjoy chatting with most of the people here.

I joined over at truthinourtime today and I notice that a much higher percentage of discussion is on economics and THE conspiracy and how the two relate. It's a smaller forum, so the absolute volume of serious stuff is not any more than here, but as a percentage it sure is.

So, where does that leave me? It's quite simple - I'll read both. I'll probably post more here, but read more there. If I want to visit with someone like Solid, whom I like but who doesn't shed much/any light on the serious topics I mentioned, I'll do it here. If I want to do some serious studying, I'll go over there to learn from the posts of someone like Magnes, whom I really don't like, but I'm impressed with the depth and breadth of his knowledge. If Awoke were still posting much, I could have the best of both worlds. But alas, he doesn't post much over here and he isn't on the membership roles over there. I really, REALLY miss that guy.

I have the same observation regarding all the complaints about trolls. The people that complain about trolling are generally the ones who are actually empowering the trolls! If you don't bite, it renders them impotent. Yet you can't seem to help yourselves! You feel compelled to respond. That's what perpetuates the trolling. I'm amazed at how consistently you enable them. Someone will make a troll comment, and then a dozen of you numbskulls will fight back! Don't you know that's what they're trolling for? Didn't they teach you about this in kindergarten? Someone will start a drama thread, and it gets two hundred fucking responses! Don't you see? You're asking to be trolled!

I'll make this brief.

I've enjoyed the people I met at GIM and later GSUS a handful of them I've met offline. This place and GIM were special places for people to discuss ideas. However this forum has also had serious serious problems with trolls and it has driven some of my favorite posters off. Antonio, Russkie, joe king, mayhem to name a few that I think everyone can agree on were trolls. I took many many many months to rid the forum of these people and it did irrevocable harm. I posted about it at the time, and I left for a few months I believe in 2011 over it.

So the situation became that some of my favorite posters left or were banned, I have no way to contact them, these are people I've learned very much from over the years and so I created a place to reunite the old time GIMMers. I was left with really no alternative, GSUS is losing my favorite members seemingly monthly sometimes with no warning and I think that sucks. I didn't say anything about it here except to a very very small group. Magnes being one of them, the gist of what I said was "look you think GSUS is overrun by trolls, they don't appreciate what you say so let's build something over here with people like Fred, Wildcard, DMAC and a few more and let GSUS go in the direction it wants to go. I think and still do that it would be the best for both forums. This is exactly why I never said anything about it publicly over here, I didn't want to be seen as divide and conquer and it isn't since the very vast majority of posts and current members are from people who were either banned or left on their own accord. So that argument is just non sense.

Let it be known that personally I have no beef with JQP or certainly madfranks who I've met and seems like a helluva guy. Lest we all forget without JQP odds are most of us would've been scattered to the wind by now.

I've said to everyone on my forum privately that I wish no harm on GSUS, I still enjoy it here, I still post here, and I hope to continue to post here although realistically if my forum grows it will be less and less.


So see this for what it is, it isn't a forum split, it isn't a divide and conquer it is just someone who has had a blog since Nov 07 and has had plans to have a forum finally got off his ass and did it and called a few old friends to help. The internet is a big place and plenty of room for 1 more forum.

this is what I was too insinuating in my previous reply to you when saying "would not be destructive at all", Ximmy :) Most people want to stay in their own countries. But you have the entrepreneurs and pioneers that will always want to travel and invest abroad. The latter would be very respectful towards the adopted customs. And people like you would change their minds about foreigners. It is a win for everybody.

however when there is more peace, the flux of ideas circulate with LESS resistance, which means that there is a change of mindset. It is fear and violence that keeps everything checkmate... until the final break-point - as we will soon witness.

However in a ideal world, I'd support open borders. Of course we are far from that, so I wont. That doesnt mean that the concept of open borders has to be trashed. As long as we'll have these top international elites, all their plans will, as we know, enslave us farther. The masters of chaos love xenophobic people, they help them out. :( In this time and pace, they get all the exits secured at their advantage however. What has defeated immigration in the U.S. is citizenship status to begin with. You can't implement group plans ie: Social Security, Welfare, Healthcare then have no guard of a second class citizenship status against it.

Since WWII the U.S. has enjoyed economic falsehood based on those same programs, passing the buck into research and developement for a good part of those years since.

Some seem to think it's just because the U.S. was such an innovative and free thinking powerhouse. Not quite all that, it was in large part due to the spoils of war and being granted the "chosen ones" status.

I rather like the 1800's when a person could go anywhere in the world there was work for them. It was the 1900's when the world went to shit.

I don't live in a bubble either General. The "understand why people off themselves" comment struck me. I'll never understand why people would do that. You can have freedom, if you have courage. Freedom isn't handed out at fast food joints. You can't watch freedom on tv.

Here's a story. A man with barely nothing, no money, was given an old wood sailboat. He was given that boat, because the guy who actually bought the boat, just wanted some of the rigging, so he took the rigging, then just gave the old boat away. The young guy, restored that boat, and took of sailing to see the world.

Freedom doesn't exist? It's there, it just needs to be grabbed. I guess that's my point. The older we get, the more we see our individual liberties taken away. Little things, one at a time.

It's important to stay focused on the big picture though.
