I've toyed with the same idea- thing is, you'd need to find a traditionalist/"dissident" Catholic sect, like Bishop Richard Williamson's SSPX (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Society_of_St._Pius_X)- as they reject the Vatican-2 "reforms" (ref: The Plot Against The Church (http://www.catholicvoice.co.uk/pinay/)) (ziopedia entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Second_Vatican_Council)), and instead they remain properly, stubbornly anti-Shlomo-ic.

I recall as a young grammar school lad at Catholic school, periodically the class would all go to the church (on site) for confession. We'd queue outside the confessional, remaining properly silent. There was a light above the confessional door which would go on indicating the confessional was occupied. The light was activated by kneeling on the padded kneeler-jobee inside the confessional, as it was spring-loaded so kneeling on it would activate the light. There wasn't much to do for those waiting in the queue outside but to watch the light.

So I had the bright idea one time, how baffling/hilarious it would be to make the light flash off and on like a heartbeat, or emergency light or something- by pressing the kneeler down-up-down-up... which I did once my turn came to confess.

Two problems though:

1. I couldn't contain my laughter as I did this, while also trying to recite the "Forgive me Father (hahaha) for I have (haha) sinned, it has been xx time since my last (hahaha) confession..." spiel.

2. I didn't consider that there was a corresponding light inside the Father's side, letting him know there was a parishioner inside kneeling... needless to say his light was also flashing...

I got a pretty bad penance that time....:-[;D

The essential truth of christianity, which is mystical in its very nature, is worth pursuing, and ultimately is the only thing that is. All major religions have a mystical core.

Instead of being satisfied with "churchianity", one should seek to KNOW what Jesus (Yeshua) was talking about, and what saints, yogis, and mystics throughout the ages have known.

Organized religions are "fronts" for veiled mystical truths, which are sometimes if not generally forgotten by the current congregations. Even Jesus struggled to communicate a message that could not be adequately carried by words... there is a reason why parables were always the medium... Don't "throw the baby out with the bathwater" with God/religion, though. God is the real deal, and is the whole point of it all.

Seek God/Truth. Don't follow leaders except for the one that lives inside you.

I interviewed Brother Nathanael several years ago on VoR, he was annoying jew at the time, this is assuming a jew can ever be an ex-jew. I do like the idea of the SSPX, they take the jews to task and rub their feathers the wrong way, and that's how I roll.

Is the catholic religion any better.

There is no organization in the whole wide world that has taken anyone anywhere let alone heaven.

They make people lazy because "everything is taken care of" in the spiritual department.



Waking up involves waking up spiritually as well and believe me there will be no waking up in a church ,quite the opposite infact.

When true spiritual awakening happens nothing is really needed from the outside world because everything we need in that department already exists within us all.

If you plan on going to church, why not go the a Christian church instead of a Roman Catholic church? I thought you said you wanted a Christian church? Makes no sense at all then to go to a Catholic church.
