I get email from a group that promotes eating raw. The writer is Matt Monarch and is located (I think) in Ecuador. He had an interesting walk thru of a friends home recently. The friend bought several acres of land near a river. He used the river for sand for cement and mortar and rocks and built himself a tidy little dwelling. Total cost seemed pretty reasonable at below $25k. Url here
