Having been through an academy, they don't teach cops to intentionally confuse people. Just to be blunt, to the point, and ask the right questions. The cop made a dumb math error. The cop got offended when it was pointed out. Probably the guy was trying to push his buttons beforehand. Cops are people you treat them bad, human emotions can affect the direction the situation leads too.

If you treat folks badly, YOU will be treated badly.

If you treat cops bad, they will take it. They are trained to take it. To a point, if you pass that point, you now have an angry cop on your hands.

I've had turds yelling in my ear on how they are going to kill me. I remained calm. The turds did what I told them to do, it was peaceful. Yet the whole time I was getting my life threatened.

I entered that house alone, with no backup. The turd was hiding behind the door with his bat ready.

I am thankful I am not dead right now. That guy said on a formal statement he would kill the first cop through that door. That first cop was me. I entered that building because I heard a woman dying, and saw blood on the door.
