Sometimes I think it would be easier to live in town , LOL I had to hook up the generator to the truck get the electrical contraption that has a on off switch, drive down to the field unhook, hook up the electric box , come back home get the scooter go up to the other tanks and open the valve, just just typing this makes me tired.
I have a 5000 gal tank that runs to the house, valve at the house that goes to a 2500 tank then it keeps going up the canyon to the 2-2500 gal tanks trying to get everything full for the LONG HOT SUMMER !
What a pain in the ass. Oh, how I love being self sufficient :)
Edit to add all the while having sweetpea in the truck outta the truck on the scooter off the scooter ! Lets go hurry up . LOL

Sounds like it will be worth it zap once you get the job completed. What is your well recharge rate to fill that kind of capacity?

I have never pumped it dry, when the big tank is empty I can pump for about 8 or 9 hours to fill it, right now the big tank has prolly 4000 gal in it, I just need to get the 2-2500's full prolly wont finish tonight, I couldn't start this a.m. was busy with work and I had to wait to start til I got sweetpea from school, I will finish up tomorrow
I pulled the paperwork, I kinda understand it but can't explain it to ya, first water 136' ,depth of static pressure 136', gpm test air blow, estimated yield 30 test length 1 hr drawdown 95ft.

It only depends on the size of your hose, not the pressure.
Go with a big hose any chance you can, or two for that matter.

it can be a pain in the arse & occasionally costly.
BUT - it's good to have choices. you can always use store-bought solutions until the store is closed.
then you still have a solution while everyone's hair is falling out because they're up a creek.

I am pumping the well over you
Just five thousand gallons ought to do
You better bring a couple horse
This pumping takes a lot of force
Still pumping the well over you
I am pumping the well over you
My knothead says she’ll check it when we’re through
I could have had a couple bass
But now I’ve got a sore damn ass
Still pumping the well over you
I humped up the hill
I plugged into the drill
I ran back down and up again
I heard you laughing at me when
I humped up the hill
I turned on the spout
I ran back down and up again
I heard you laughing at me when
I am pumping the well over you
Been working at it all day maybe two
You could just help me out
Can’t you hear me scream and shout
Still pumping the well over you
I am pumping the well over you
It’s really a job that’s better made for two
You left me here with only tools
You left me here with all these fools
Still pumping the well over you

that doesn't sound bad at all.
it's all direct and straightforward.
unless you're working in 100 degree heat.
