They just said that 23 third graders got a direct hit at their school and all of them are missing. So sad. :(

I was watching a time lapse that I think was from a helicopter. It was clearly a massive twister, maybe 500metres across. The speed with which that thing was moving was staggering. you are obviously not going to get away from this thing if it's on your tail. Thoughts and prayers to those affected.

So the video I saw was 10X normal speed so no wonder it looked very fast

Looks like its in your vicinity now dogman. You getting any action? One monster insane gust front (Straight line winds) and then 3 bands or waves of storms.. Stuff got blown around and the trees here went nuts, power went out 3 times but returned here but other places have lost power because of trees and limbs getting blown down.

Good rains and insane thunder and lighting.

Tho there was a tad of pucker factor because of what happened up north. It looks like one more band of storms will come through before it is over.

I just hope this front has shot its wad and no more nasty storms like the one that hit Oklahoma hits anyone else in the country enough already!

Well there is another band/line of t/storms forming up west of me so that will make 5 storm bands/lines to hit here tonight.

Edit: Looks like Louisiana has two tornadoes going right now.

Just had a mini hail storm that lasted for 15 minutes, the ice were the size of beans......scared the hell out of my cat and dog........and now?......is nice and sunny, all this in twenty minutes.......warning, is going to be a very cold winter.

I spent a good part of today moving close to one cord of wood in my carport so my new wheels could fit inside just because of the thought of hail.

Today the biggest size I have heard reported here is from pea to 3/4 "

americans need to change the name of youtube to god or omfg or something because thats all they say on these vids. I turn most of em down. Don't look much like ufos to me. tooo slow. same demon type oject that flew over the US Capitol. I've seen things like this myself, north of airforce base here and I have seen them on flights to asia. They are called ball lightening when they are seen inside aircraft. I have seen 2 inside aircraft cabins.
