I have a friend, more an aquaintance who chases storms. He lives down here in Oz but travels to the US every couple of years for the storm season. I know he went 2 years ago but I don't know about last year. I remember seeing some footage and it was as scary as that.

Are those guys just in a normal truck or SUV or are they in one of those purpose built ones. I saw a couple machines made with claws to grab the ground and panels to stop air getting in underneath and lifting the vehicle. It would be exhilarating to get through that but it would take some kind of courage.
