View Full Version : Dreamhost is Totally Fvcked Up - What other Host do you LIKE ?

I was going to re-sign up with Dreamhost, because they used to have a good interface for PHP.

But their billing is totally fvcked up, in the same sense of understatement, that one could say, "Jews are greedy".

Their website says I owe them $268 and rising fast.

I stopped hosting with them in November 2011.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a scam. I don't think they have my credit card number. I will have to call Amex & sort it out.

Do any of you know the kind of interface I'm talking about ? It's for us non-PHP-fluent content-creators. It allowed you to set up -
* nameserver configuration
* forum category name & config.
* forum sub-category name & config.

Etc.

Anyway, that's what I was looking for. Do any of you know the kind of interface I'm talking about, the 2011-vintage Dreamhost interface ?

Anyway, just looking for web-host recommendations, besides 1and1 and Dreamhost.

1and1 is cheap but to set up PHP I need more training.

I'm currently with godaddy, itemized billing, fits right in with "Jews are greedy"

well, they were bought by KKR, Kohlberg Kravis Roberts, big Jew Leveraged buyout/ Private Equity firm.

print $FRN's & buy corporations, with Shabbas Goy for Vice Presidents and staff - it's the 20th century form of slavery.

21st century form of slavery - Google, Facebook, etc.

I want to change out hosts also but I also need to learn how to do a complete website too so I'm just hanging in there limbo right now. I have (had) a good SEO and when the last host dropped my site during a google bot we went from 3rd to nowhere. SEO was bent big time and wont even make minor updates so it's time for me to take over. First site I ever did was with Netscape... LOL, it worked though and brought new clients, one page wonder.

anybody ever try, "Freehostia" ?

http://www.freehostia.com/

i probably wouldn't do the 'free' option. maybe use the $3 a month to get started.

i wonder if they have a $100 one time set up fee ?

Thanks !

i actually already have web-hosting with 1and1.

What I need is an honest host (like your friend) with easier set-up for phpBB/mySQL, and a forum, where you can ask questions - like G-S.us - and other members or staff, can answer questions about set-up.
