Can you be deceived? Are you easily fooled? Well, do you think you are wrong about the most important things happening in this world?

I would propose that we are all easily deceived and we had best wise up to that. We think we know what we know and we have no clues about what we don't know. In other words, we don't know what we don't know.

The best magic tricks use EXPECTED trains of motion to keep you assured you saw something. Watch this simple video on something seemingly unimportant and learn how you discount one sense, overriding it with the input- even false input from another.

Oh no! I have created another Ponce-Monster.... a new Ponster.

Yes- we see what we want to see and focus in on what we want to see. This makes us miss other clues. Knowing this will help you spot when a deceiver is trying to divert your attention. Fight it by shutting off certain senses.

In the bible it is worded this way: We walk by faith, not sight.

That is why we have been given( by our Creator) intuation.

If you feel like something is off.

There is as reason.

Try and defer to that when possible .

faith?? I beg to differ... due to the "blindness factor" implied, faith is sensing too me.

"is viewed as a deficit of self-awareness, a condition in which a person who suffers certain disability seems unaware of the existence of his or her disability"

that reminds me of Obama and 99% of the MSM.

"The essential claim of sophistry is that the actual logical validity of an argument is irrelevant (if not non-existent); it is only the ruling of the audience which ultimately determines whether a conclusion is considered "true" or not. By appealing to the prejudices and emotions of the judges, one can garner favorable treatment for one's side of the argument and cause a factually false position to be ruled true."--Sophistry A.K.A Democracy or Truth by Popular delusion/consensus

Then you don't understand what faith is. Faith is described in the bible as:
Heb 11:1 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Faith is a multi-faceted gem; it is a multi-stranded cord. It is a justification unto righteousness for those whose object is Messiah and it is a channel of grace or blessing. It is a shield and strength. It is a backbone when no other support seems evident.

Having the wrong object, faith is a misguided disaster. Sheep who bow to an evil master will be slaughtered by wolves.

Russell's quote fits my point. Those who think they "know" are everywhere. It is that delusion that has people putting faith in a false messiah.... or a false concept.

Yes. We have a consensus among "scientists" to declare that global warming is caused by car exhaust... or whatever they want to believe. Truth is not ruled by votes or desires. Truth stands immutable and pure. Deception plays on the minds of men to create false realities that they hold has truths.

Interesting, on the second video-sound sequence I actually heard "Vah", mainly because that is how we pronounce V in Sweden, while F is pronounced a little less forcefully!

Me too... I thought I heard VAH (not FAH). When they said it was always BAH... I didn't believe them until I replayed the whole video with my eyes closed.

I tought what I heard was Vah because of language bias, but I heard Fah after I was told that was what I was supposed to hear, so obviously it goes to show that they can actually manipulate our reality not only by the visual cues, but also by the narrative underlying the story, they tell us what we will see!

This is a bit scary. People will easily see / hear what they want. A skilled manipulator can draw in a large percentage of people who will passionately follow the directions. I know from hypnosis that there is a dumb part of the mind which believes anything it is told. If someone knows how to get around the judging part of the soul, the deception is easy.
