SFO Plane crash
KTVU.com
SFO —
A plane crashed while landing at San Francisco International Airport Saturday morning after its tail came off while it was touching down on the runway.
According to a witness, around 11:30 a.m. the plane was just about to land -- its landing gear had come down -- when the tail of the plane came off.
After wobbling for a minute, the aircraft flipped upside down, coming to a stop on runway on it's back, according to witness Kathy Muhler.
When it came to a halt, smoke was pouring from the aircraft. Fire crews responded minutes later, Muhler said.
According to Redwood City Fire Department, three alarms have been called and responding crews are reporting passengers in need of burn treatment.
The plane, reportedly a Boeing 777, was identified as Asiana 214 and was coming from South Korea, according to flight tracking information.
Check back for more updates.

SAN FRANCISCO —
A federal aviation official says an Asiana Airlines flight has crashed while landing at San Francisco airport. It was not immediately known whether there were any injuries.
Federal Aviation Administration spokesman Lynn Lunsford says the Boeing 777 crashed at San Francisco Airport while landing on Saturday.
A video clip posted to Youtube shows smoke coming from a silver-colored jet on the tarmac. Passengers could be seen jumping down the inflatable emergency slides.
The airline is based in Seoul, South Korea. Its website says its Boeing 777 can carry between 246 to 300 passengers.

That's crazy. Did this happen last week and I just missed it (the headline says Sunday, unless it is wrong and happened today). A train also derailed in Montreal today too. A lot of bad stuff going on, but I haven't seen one clip of it on the news. They seem to be too busy discussing Snowden as of later so I just shut of the TV.

I'm waiting to see a video of the landing/break up. They must have a video, right?
They have video of everything else in the airport...every car that enters, your profile, everything you do and where you go. They should have video of the crash.

Prior to the crash of Asiana Airlines Flight 214 in San Francisco Saturday, Dick Allgire of the Hawaii Remote Viewers' Guild published a prediction of an upcoming airliner crash event.
His sketch and prediction was published in mid June, received and documented by several witnesses including Courtney Brown, Ph.D. The sketch eerily depicts the event.

lots of big pics in that article!
What I don't get is the initial story part,
After wobbling for a minute, the aircraft flipped upside down, coming to a stop on runway on it's back, according to witness Kathy Muhler.
the pics all show the big burn (skid?) holes in the plane's roof; but no pics showing it upside down! So has that initial story been discredited? And the big holes in the roof are from...???
http://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2013/07/07/article-2357662-1AB1A9B8000005DC-395_964x552.jpg What went wrong? Firecrews work to contain flames after a plane skidded onto a dirt area at San Francisco Airport on Saturday, killing two. Investigations are now underway to determine the cause
* I didn't read the full text of the daily mail article, just skimmed the pics & captions.

There's no way it could have been upside down. The wings are still attached! The big holes in the roof....no idea man, that is really weird. It wasn't the firefighters, they cut small holes 4x4 or so to ventilate.

^ "OMG!" (repeat)
well it appeared a wing was up in the air at one point there, but still too far away & obscured, unclear what happened. A wing in the air would mean the opposite wing sheared off.
On 2nd look that was prolly the vertical tail section which we know came off. Leaving the question of wtf with the big roof burn holes.

There are points along the western shore of SF Bay which provide an excellent vantage point for watching landings. Few airports offer such a great view. So there are many pictures and videos.

actually, there is a "vista/ view point" area where people can watch airplanes take off & land. most of the time there are a few to several cars out there.
and these days, where there are people there are cell phones, and where there are cell phones there are video cameras.
20 years ago it would have been wierd to have video cameras set up.

Isn't this special.
Perhaps why the witness suppression event occurred.
An autopsy was being conducted Sunday to determine whether one of the two teenage passengers killed on the Asiana Airlines flight had been run over by a San Francisco fire rig at the crash scene.
The 16-year-old girl was found near the evacuation slide from the left side of Asiana Flight 214 that crashed Saturday while landing at San Francisco International Airport. The girl was not identified.
San Francisco Fire Chief Joanne Hayes-White said Sunday that her injuries are consistent with having been run over.

I have no idea what reason this would be fake or a FF event but I believe it is a fucked up hoax event. A plane (any plane) is videoed anywhere, a dummy plane is delivered where ever these pictures are from and the story goes from there..
Now, I know you guys are smart... HA just kidding.

I can't really draw any conclusions from this but here 'tis. Says the crash was staged/drill, plane parts trucked in... but they string together a bunch of video & stills of unknowable origin!

With technology the way it is, I'm surprised that there aren't cameras EVERYWHERE on the runways. I have my doubts about the events but for what purpose? Who was one the flight and who missed the flight? Reminds me of Larry McDonald and the Korean flight 007 and who missed the flight. Senator Jesse Helms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jesse_Helms) of North Carolina, Senator Steven Symms (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Steve_Symms) of Idaho, and Representative Carroll J. Hubbard (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carroll_Hubbard), Jr.

I worked for a spell at the Marriott Hotel SFO airport in Burlingame. They are on the water, across a little piece of bay between it and the runway. That's around where that amateur vid of the alleged crash was shot from.
http://www.tripadvisor.com/Hotel_Review-g32124-d81575-Reviews-San_Francisco_Airport_Marriott_Waterfront-Burlingame_California.html
view from one of their bay/runway-facing rooms:
http://media-cdn.tripadvisor.com/media/photo-s/04/3e/09/e2/guest-room-with-view.jpg
so one of you intrepid investigators call them, ask for bell desk or better, doorman. Chat them up, and get around to what they saw or know about the crash. They basically have a front row seat there. I'm too lazy (twas decades ago I worked there so it's not like I'd be calling any of my old buddies) ;)
Looking at this again,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3HhuSMGAvXQ
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=3HhuSMGAvXQ
listen around :17, guy's saying "look at that one! look how it's nose is in the air. OMG! it's an accident!" then girl voice is heard saying, "oh and you're filming it too." She's heard saying that again a few sec's later. Again at :38, "you filmed the whole thing!"
kinda weird dialog, no? Having the presence of mind to say such 'helpful' things, rather than being mesmerized by watching the horrific crash? ???

It's seems to be okay then:
Ye and her close friend, 16-year-old Wang Linjia, who also died, were students at Jiangshan Middle School in Zhejiang, an affluent coastal province in eastern China, Chinese state media has reported. They were part of a group of students and teachers from the school who were heading to summer camp in Southern California.
The other victim, 15-year-old Liu Yipeng, later died at a hospital
