Now for sale, 0.5 oz .999 fine silver rounds embedded with 10 LTC each. The catch is, you have to be a member of bitcointalk.org and he only accepts BTC/LTC for payment. Limit of 2 per customer.

Bump - seriously guys, if you wish you had been able to get into the BTC game before it got too big, I really believe LTC is the next big one, the silver to BTC's gold. These are the first of their kind offered for sale, at least pick up a couple if you can.

What is the advantage of physical LTC over digital LTC?

To me it looks like expensive silver.

I guess that's the numismatist in me coming out. I want some for my coin collection.

As far as investing goes, they are quite expensive to hope to earn a return, but I would add that 1st edition Casascius physical bitcoins fetch quite a premium. If LTC takes off, in a few years time these could fetch hundreds of dollars each.

I'm taking you up on that bet. One year from now let's see which one has a larger % increase in price. :)

Ten LTC is worth more than 1/2oz of silver right now, you savvy? :)

Ok we'll revisit this a year from now and see what happens. My two coins cost 28 LTC each, and at the time of order LTC was worth right around $2.50, which equates to roughly $70 USD.

Just ordered a three-coin set of silver litecoins. The set comes with (1) 1/4 oz silver 5 LTC, (1) 1/2 oz silver 10 LTC, and (1) 1 oz silver 25 LTC. Other than the fact that the math doesn't add up, I really like them.

They look nice but I would just rather hold regular silver.

What is LTC right now? Seems Madfranks are in the lead right now, despite the very good returns on the 5 toz ATB coins...

madfranks

Current price of LTC is $17.18. For one 10-LTC coin, that equals $171.80, plus 1/2 ounce of silver at $9.75. That puts the base value of one of these coins at $181.55. But that doesn't factor what they actually sell for, on ebay for example. Don't worry, by the time the year is up, I'm sure these will be worth more than one of Zimmy's precious ATB coins. :)

I told you guys to buy them, but nooo... :(??

digital currency is in a bubble, it will mellow down (by the year up) and my coins will continue to increase in value and I will win... :D  ;)

I had some of my physical LTCs slabbed by ANACS. Here's how they came back:

http://s17.postimg.org/po0h8uxun/slabbed_5_LTC.jpg

http://s1.postimg.org/qt7hm2gbz/slabbed_10_LTC.jpg

http://s28.postimg.org/nmg8t8f9p/slabbed_25_LTC.jpg

I'm told that after the initial batch of (500) 25-LTC silver coins are sold, there will be no more made, as the price of LTC is now too high to justify such a high value silver coin. Did anyone else manage to snag one?

Also, when I went to pick up my coins, the lady there asked about them, and mentioned how they recently slabbed a handful of 25 BTC coins. Man, dontcha wish you could go back and buy them when they were worth less than $100 instead of the $16,000 + they cost today?

It looks like you can still order item #4, 1/2 Troy oz 999 Fine Silver 10 LTC Lealana Litecoin Batch #2.

Roughly $480 for 1/2 oz of silver, but with 10 LTC's on it. I'm considering it.

Personally I'm not a fan of Litecoin. It has slow transaction times like Bitcoin does. There's nothing really supporting it from crashing other than it was the second popular crypto used.
