the spot price is $2 below the cost of production for silver mined from ore. with the $1 spread, it's $1 below the cost of production. amazing fvcking bargain.


OPM is a recycler. my guess is, they pay suppliers about 67% of silver value for something like sterling, less for harder to recover things like film. so they have a very different cost structure than a conventional miner.

At these prices you should be buying Silver for as cheap as you can. Silver shot may be cheaper though, but I wouldn't pay for that since it's probably hard to get money for it when selling.
