Oh, to have been a fly on the wall when the idea of Sharknado was pitched.
It's a simple concept; thousands and thousands of sharks are sucked out of the ocean by a ferocious tornado then hammered onto the streets of L.A and sights of Hollywood... with devastating effects.

A small band of brave defenders - portrayed by Z-list veterans like 90210's Ian Ziering and American Pie's Tara Reid - attempt to defend the City of Angels with chainsaws and not much else.

Its a made for TV B movie on the syfy channel, i dont htink they ever intended people to believe it was true cinema. It probably made syfy millions in ad revenue.

This flick seems like it was written by a couple of stoned cinema arts students.

Student 1, "Sharks are scary"

Student 2, "No way dude, tornados are scary."

Student 1, "If we combined sharks and tornados, that would be REALLY scary..."

Student 2, "yeah man...here smoke this...let's make a movie."

Student 1, "We need a token hot blonde. What about Tara Reid?"

see what happens ,from what ive seen of the story ,it could well be a block buster.
