On Wednesday, July 17 at about 5:45 PM Sanford Police responded to a single car accident in the area of I- 4 and State Road 46 in Sanford. A blue Ford Explorer SUV traveled off the road and rolled over. There were four occupants inside the vehicle, two parents and two children. The deputy reported, when he arrived on the scene that one of the two men there was George Zimmerman. According to Sanford Police Zimmerman had a fire extinguisher and helped assist the family to get them out of the vehicle.


"Zimmerman was not a witness to the crash, which was why he was not referenced in the police report," a Sanford Police spokeswoman told Breitbart News. "He left after making contact with the deputy. There were no reports of injuries of any of the vehicle's occupants," she said.


An eyewitness to the accident told Breitbart News that people on the scene recognized Zimmerman and thanked him for his help before he left.
Zimmerman's location has been unknown since he was found "not guilty" of second degree murder and manslaughter of Trayvon Martin recently.

without being too hard on the cnn guy, who probably said it without thinking... GZ is (reasonably enough) expected to keep a low profile until the heat dies down, but then he gets in and helps a group of people in trouble. I was sitting here wondering, so what the guys just going to keep on going by that accident? I haven't cause to stop and help many people. The 2 major times I did I was going in the other direction, had to do a u turn into heavy traffic. Both people thanked me profusely, just for stopping. 1 person I could not help. not life threatening, they just needed some company until family arrived. The other was an old guy who nearly choked to death on an apple while driving. Was stumbling around on the side of the highway trying to dislodge it. Was coughing it up when I got to him so all good.

Of course if your inside lane at 80mph+ nothing you can do physically. What would you do? phone it in?

Family Rescued by George Zimmerman Backs Out of News Conference

The family rescued by George Zimmerman when they were trapped in an overturned SUV canceled a scheduled news conference today and is pleading for privacy.

Zimmerman was one of two men who came to the aid of Dana and Mark Gerstle (http://gma.yahoo.com/US/george-zimmerman-emerged-hiding-rescue-family-trapped-suv/story?id=19735432) and their two children, who were trapped inside a blue Ford Explorer SUV that had rolled over after traveling off the highway in Sanford, Fla., about 5:45 p.m. Thursday, the Seminole County Sheriff's Office said in a statement.

The Gerstles were expected to hold a press conference today at the office of Zimmerman's attorney Mark O'Mara, but cancelled a few hours before it was supposed to take place. ...
Zimmerman's lawyer, Mark O'Mara, said the family had asked to speak, but then got concerned about the anger surrounding the controversial verdict.
"The family called because they wanted to address the media. I knew that if we did it in an organized way, it would help them get back to a normal life.. But they called today and said they were more worried about blow back from saying anything that would be favorable to George, and decided they did not want to do any media," Zimmerman said.

The Thursday crash occurred at the intersection of I-4 and route Route 46, police said, less than a mile from where Zimmerman shot Martin.
By the time police arrived, two people - including Zimmerman - had already helped the family get out of the overturned car, the sheriff's office said. No one was reported to be injured....

So these asshats are wanting everyone to believe that GZ was given a heads-up (which would mean that about a minute has passed since the accident occurred, i.e. someone called 911, a 911 dispatcher sent out the call, this cop heard the call and then took the time to call GZ lol) as to a nearby accident scene, IMMEDIATELY ran out of where he's staying, RUSH to the scene, and was able to get to the scene BEFORE emergency responders arrive (PD, FD, AND EMS) which all run lights and sirens (code 3) to an accident scene, pulling out the hapless victims BEFORE any emergency crews personnel arrive*...riiiiiiight.

*the moment emergency responders show up on the scene of an accident, the very first thing they do is to take charge of the scene and tell the 'civilians' to step back...
