I've read some interesting stuff on the net. It is curious when you read something about occult or God and you hear something about say: the spirit world. Then when you are reading something from the other side: bad guys vs good guys, you hear the same tale but from the other vantage point. There seems to have been a very big interest in the Demonic/Satanic entities at the end of the 19th and into the early decades of the 20th century in the US and Europe.

You can read the works of Manly P Hall, other persons prior to that how wrote essays on the occult and the esoterical/ethereal worlds. Then you can read material such as 30 years with the Dead by Dr Wickland. Makes for an interesting read although it doesn't resist the temptation that people seem to fall for when they expound their experiences. They turn it into a sermon. Manly warns against pratices such as the "Self" movement. Wishing for things. Yet the Wickland writings suggest that spirits (that they seanced with) say that "concentration" (wishing) is a usable tool with few ill effects. Manly cautions communing with the Dark side unless you have taken a serious number of steps to protect yourself. Wicklands enjoyed the protection of a "band of light" group of spirits.

Based on the Wicklands writtings which are basically the written record of seance encounters with spirits, mostly lost spirits unable to find their way from earth plane to spirit plane. That there are many many spirits/souls there who are trapped by their own ignorance. They don't know better. They find only the light of the living from time to time shining in the darkness and they are drawn like moths. Get too close and they get caught. Others are angry or troubled and cause the living person to do things, drunkards, murderers, suiciders. Obsessing the living they call it claiming most mental unease is caused by spiritual influences - multi personalities, hallucinations etc.

Point? Ok in these writings of so long ago, nearly 100 years, spirits claimed that eventually there would be a scientific method to bridge the real world and the spirit world. Why? And would you trust some being/entity you cannot see that is talking through other people, to tell you the truth of who they are. Could you trust that would help not hurt? I could go on about that. Perhaps Dr Wickland wasn't helping in salvation of souls but helping in the harvesting of them.

I remember just after this was pointed out to me several years ago, I went to both parties sites to see for myself and it was clearly shown on the front page of both parties. All stars with point down. I went recently and could not find any, I suspect that this was voiced abroad and they did not want the publicily of this getting out so they both quietly removed it.
