That's the stuff I'm talking about.

I want to use it for general purpose waterproofing of wood - plywood, 2x2 DougFir, 2x3, etc.

Initially recommended by a guy at a hardware store who normally knows his stuff real good.

I tried it. The only way to describe it is milky.

After 'painting' - it doesn't really seem like painting - the wood hardly looks like it's been coated.

Not wanting to damage every piece of wood I worked on, I stopped after doing 2 pieces, to let it dry & then spray it with water.

The comments @ Gardenweb are not encouraging.

I was raised with Varathane, Polyurethane Sealer. I was expecting something similar and then this morning there I am painting with milky stuff. The Cabot supposed sealer.

Do any of you have experience with this Cabot sort-of-sealer ?

I'm also sealing pieces that have been glued together using Titebond, sort of like a carpenter's version of Elmer's glue.

I would have went with two coats of Thompson's, but that is just me. I know nothing about the product you used.
