One Million Moms Slams Discovery Channel's 'Naked and Afraid;' Compares Show to 'Soft Porn'

While the Discovery Channel's new reality show "Naked and Afraid" might bring to mind scenes from the Book of Genesis with its male-female pairing of contestants fending for survival in the wild with no clothes on, conservative family organization One Million Moms wants none of it and has demanded that the network cancel the "offensive" and "inappropriate" show it believes is comparable to pornography.

when i do a serious blackberry picking session, with clothes, i usually come away bleeding.

no big deal, but for Chrissake - naked ?


you could pick blueberries naked. but a lot of areas that have wild blueberries also have bears.


if you're bare, you don't want to be chased by bears.


if anybody here has the sheer fortitude to watch this Hollywood production, i'm sure the rest of us would appreciate the effort that goes into the recon mission.


what do they eat ?

bugs, earthworms, berries, miner's lettuce, wild goldfish, live raw crayfish ?


are they allowed to do web-searches to see if the mushroom they want to eat is Amanita Muscaria ?

i've never seen anyone die of cyanide poisoning.

that could be good for the show's ratings. it's a warped world.
