Yeah, no doubt. Midnight many thanks. Out of all the doom scenarios, a tsunami is a game over for me. That is the one, I can't prepare for. However, this video, my eyes were glued to it, I learned a bit. I've resigned myself to stay with the boat. She goes and I go too. I've been through several tsunami warnings before, alarms and all, and there's not enough time to do anything else.

during the segments i watched, all the buildings were intact, standing strong.

that was an 8.9 or 9.0 earthquake ?

are you talking about the water elemental at 10:45? Someone pointed it out in some comments. I noticed it while I was watching. It was very striking. I wondered where it went. In the begining I thought it went into the 2nd storey of the house/building, however it just looks like it was ejected from the water, shot up but then disappeared into thin air? I was wondering if it was leaping out of the water or being smashed out/killed type of thing.

And yes for the most powerfull earthquake in all recorded history it didn't do much structural damage at all.

The earthquake could have been 1000's of miles away. The tsunami can travel quite a distance and has no determination on where the epicenter of the earthquake was.

What city was this, in this video? Good question, how far from the earthquake?
