Syria is not the population center of the Arab World. Egypt is, and Egypt's destabilization was put on hold while Morsi was the nominal head of state. He was the first 'domino'. Libya was the next domino, and Syria would follow Libya, and then Iran would fall. But Syria refused to crumble, so Egypt came on the front burner. Israel has used the United States to co-opt the Egyptian army to act in the interest of Israel. Egypt is not democratic. Morsi won the election with only a very small part of the population voting. Most Egyptians oppose the Muslim Brotherhood, so this democracy of the Arab spring was a cynical ploy to divide Egypt as well as all the other Arab countries that participated in Arab spring. The Egyptian Army, acting like a politician to curry favor with the people, and to please their US masters removed Morsi, and unwittingly touched off a violent confrontation with the Muslim Brotherhood. Obama is pretending that the US 'abhors the violence' but urges the Egyptian Army to continue and escalate it at the behest of Israel. The urging comes from the snipers firing at both the people and the army in Cairo. This, I think is what we are seeing play out right now in Egypt. If the Egyptian military had any integrity, they would find a leader among them who would direct all the hatred not at the government but outward. But of course the Egyptian military has no integrity. They have been bought out by the United States. Isn't it amazing what money can buy?

You can see the crowd turn their heads when the fire starts.

Whether or not he got caught from friendly fire ricochet off the tank or the tank is hard to tell, but the tanks were definitely being fired upon. You can see bullets hitting the floor all around them.
