So everyday it runs up in Asian trading then it gets knocked down at the same time everyday.

So they buy gold whens its cheaper and then sell it to the Asians in the morning plus the bit extra they get for selling in China.

I don't see evidence of this in the chart you've posted. I see daily lows at 2:30, 6:00, and 12:00. I've heard this for years, but have never seen evidence. The only characteristics that I've seen is that big moves happen at the open of the NY market at 8:30, and also at 10:00 when a lot of other economic news tends to come out, and traders have had time to drink their morning coffee. But sometimes the moves are down, and sometimes the moves are up.

As a matter of fact, I couldn't imagine three more different price curves than I see in this current 3-day chart.
