I'd lean toward a millennia old conspiracy to keep black enslaved or ignorant as the continent is very rich... I prefer to follow the money trail to explain the past and current situation of most African nations... very sad... after all, westerners (and the rest of the planet) are just another kind of slaves.

FWIW, I went to Africa w/ an open mind, its not like you think/believe.

the level of violence, number of rapes, etc

they lead the planet on all bad info,

and sadly, although there might be the rare exception, I think it is largely a race thing,

Africa is rugged/tough, and you fight for survival, but its a primal fight, so in Africa, Strength and aggressiveness have been rewarded, and the men spread their seed with a dozen women, having 30 kids, in the hopes a "few survive", because life is very cheap in Africa...

think back to the whole slave trade days from Africa ( a jewish operation, Monsanto), the slaves that were shipped to the U.S. (and elsewhere), were the ones that had been defeated by the other tribe...

the meanest, nastiest, etc stayed in Africa, and kept breeding....
