Pete in the middle of the riots I was sick as a fucking dog and was driving home to Pasadena from work, which is about 20 miles from this cluster. I got pulled over on the freeway for doing 75 by the fucking LAPD. LAPD RAN out of south central but had time to give me a fucking speeding ticket on the freeway.

But, to answer you question. It's a bullshit question. I wasn't in the meetings but I have a good guess on what happened. The LAPD and the Sheriffs higher-ups decided to back up and let this burn itself out, without any regard for human LIFE, LIBERTY OR PROPERTY. It was complete lawlessness. I had a friend in the National Guard that was there and said there was really nothing they could do.

In a free society each individual is responsible for him or herself, innocent or not no one can be there to protect them 24/7/365. That is not your responsibility as an officer, nor is it the responsibility of a state.
