so, fall is here. seems every spring and summer i pretty much forget much of the doom and prepping stuff. i'm out on the lake, doing stuff with the family, etc.

can't say why, but as soon as the kids go back to school and fall arrives, i get seasonal affective doom. i have the urge to start buying more storable food, more fuel, more survival crap, and i tend to start playing situational awareness drills in my mind over and over. happens every fall. then when winter gets here, i calm down again.

not sure why this happens to me every year. maybe it is hardwired in us to prepare for the long, cold winter.

Same here Chad. I think it is bleedover effect of the instinct to prepare for the coming winter. The general doom in the news just syngergizes with our natural inclination to get ready for the cold dark days of the coming winter.

Great time of year for the Jews too.

Rosh Hashanah
September 5 - 6, 2013
Rosh Hashanah marks the start of the Jewish near year. It is both a day of judgment for mankind, as well as an exhilarating time of closeness and reconciliation with God. (a good time to plan their next false flag event and count their money)

Yom Kippur
September 14, 2013
Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement, is a day of fasting and repentance, affording man the opportunity to cleanse himself of his sins and renew his relationship with God. (A day to plan new lies to sell to the goyim and take all the money)

Sukkot
September 19 - 27, 2013
The Festival of Booths - with Lulav and Etrog in hand, we camp out under the stars seven days and remember that God is our ultimate protection. (money is their God)

Chanukah
November 28 - December 5, 2013
Hanukkah, The Holiday of Lights -- celebrating the miracle of a little oil that lasted eight days, and continues to illuminate our lives to this day. (a little oil they will soon control once Iran is destroyed)

Tenth of Tevet
December 13, 2013
A Fast Day -- commemorating the day the Babylonians first laid siege on Jerusalem, setting in motion a long series of tragedies for the Jewish people. (that allowed the Jews to take over the world)

Tu B'Shvat
January 16, 2014
New Year for the Trees – how to celebrate our connection to the environment and appreciate the fruits of the Land of Israel. (that they stole from Palestine)

In Arizona, fall is the most welcome!

If I remember the Northeast properly, this is the season where there was nothing but a thick layer clouds blocking out the Sun for 3 straight months.

i haven't forgotten you ;)

on the plus side, i reorganized the prep room to take inventory today. rotated out a box of canned goods, lots of salmon from a few years back (pre fukashima). Freed up a lot of room, so i guess it's mountain house buying time again.

I intentionally heighten my food prepping in the fall because I know winter is the most likely season to experience a disruption to availability here in the Northeast. My food preps reach a seasonal peak in early winter. I then keep them elevated throughout the cold season, and then begin to erode them going into the spring and summer as part of my rotation system.

This thread makes me realize I've got a pattern. I mostly am doom concerned, during the summer months. Everyone is active, life has a fast pace, and for some reason, it makes me want to prepare, and prepare quickly.

As the weather cools down, life slows down. When that happens, I get my metals itch. I get the silver/gold bug bad and the winter is usually when I'm more interested in picking up a coin or two.

Summers = fast pace, prep food, guns ammo, supplies. IE...fast life crashes fast and hard.

Winters = relax a bit and pick up some gold/silver.

This is a cool thread, makes you think about things....

I have been watching my animals.... Last year, my goats were ready to be bred in July - making for a December baby. This year, they are not even showing signs of being in heat yet. I was just mentioning to my loving man that I think they are trying to tell us that we are in for one NASTY A$$ winter.

Life is constantly an act of letting go.

What always hurts the most is not taking the moment of saying goodbye.

Like this country.

I was born here, grew up here, did everything the right way and unceremoniously the country I was born in never even said goodbye.

You might have not been there, but besides the benefit of some funky wine, our primary mission is cleansing the female feet after the stomping.

Now I'm not being fetishistic about this, but for the primary mission and also for good wine only those with attractive feet need apply, no nasty corns etc.

What the rest of the woman's body looks like does not matter, I'm an equal opportunity employer, humps are fine. :)

If you were an equal opportunity employer, you would be looking for a white heterosexual male like me. Oppressed once again. And to think that you missed out on a size 11. Then again I'd be getting into the hooch.

The Most Erogenous Zones of the Body Will Surprise You
By Nicole Stevens | Posted: September 9, 2013

The science of sexuality has moved out of the candle-lit bedroom and into the laboratory. (See? Science can be fun!) Recent research was aimed at revealing "the magnitude of erotic sensations from various body parts." The results ended up being a little predictable, a little unexpected, and a lot of sexy.

The Guardian reports on the work of researchers in South Africa and the United Kingdom, who published an article in the journal Cortex. They surveyed 800 men and women, asking them to rate 41 different body parts for their erogenous capabilities.

The sexiest body parts were a no-brainer: genitalia, lips, ears, and inner thighs. Surprisingly, shoulder blades ranked as one of the more pleasurable spots for both men and women.

But the real interest came in the lowest-ranked body parts. Knee caps and feet both received a zero ranking on the sexy scale. Now, as most of us are initiating a face-palm and saying "Well, duh!" as we think about knobbly knees and fragrant feet, consider this: For many years, scientists have thought that feet were one of the most erogenous zones of the body. It's believed that the area of the brain that handles nerve impulses from the feet is right next door to the processing center for genitalia sensations. So our feet ought to be just one exit down on the Highway to Heaven, at least in terms of brain signals.

Not so, the survey found. Feet were a sexual flop for most of the survey respondents. Study authors note that while foot fetishes (such as shoe obsession, foot massaging, etc.) may be common, there appears to be a big difference between a fetish and an erogenous zone.

Another startling find was that men and women are very similar in their ranking of erotic body parts. Oh, there were a few differences (men often found hands and the back of the legs very erotic, while women ranked them lower), but overall the scientists were surprised to find "remarkable levels of correlation" between the sexes. This goes against the traditional belief that women are loaded with erogenous zones and men only have one obvious hot spot.

Study authors were also amazed to discover that the erotic rankings held steady no matter what a person's age, socioeconomic status, cultural background, or sexual orientation. Human beings all seem to share common erogenous zones, the scientists conclude. This suggests that in most cases, our sexual proclivities are hard-wired, not based on ethnicity or experience.

So, next time you're looking for a little nookie, you might want to skip the toe-nibbling and opt instead for some shoulder blade-action. And you can thank science for this admirable quest to quantify sexiness. Not only does research tell you which spots to twiddle, but also the optimal speed at which to stroke human skin for maximum pleasure. It's 5 cm per second, by the way, just in case you're hoping to do a little experimentation of your own.

I'm not a fetish person, but I do notice a ladies feet. Pretty feet on a woman are sexy. Troglodyte feet on a woman are a deal breaker for me...I don't care how good the rest of her looks.
Secondly, it's my opinion that a woman that takes good care of her feet also takes good care of her hoo-ha.
Dirty nasty feet, dirty nasty...well you know.

I find Women with attractive feet are typically more attractive in some other way also.

What if its genetic, as in the case of "toe hop" or hump, where one toe seems to rise up and hump the two toes surrounding it?
