George Zimmerman (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/topic/crime-law-justice/crimes/george-zimmerman-PECLB0000014809.topic), the former Neighborhood Watch volunteer acquitted of murder in the shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/topic/crime-law-justice/crimes/crime-victims/trayvon-martin-PEOCVC000188.topic), has been detained as authorities investigate a domestic incident in Lake Mary (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/topic/us/florida/seminole-county/lake-mary-PLGEO100100414050000.topic), police confirmed.
Police are investigating a "possible domestic battery" involving Zimmerman on Sprucewood Road, Lake Mary police Officer Zach Hudson said this afternoon. The police spokesman said it was his understanding that a gun was involved.
Hudson said the investigation is in its early stages, and it was unclear whether Zimmerman or anyone would be arrested. No significant injuries were suffered in the incident, Hudson said.
The police activity is in the area of a house where, as the Orlando Sentinel reported earlier today (http://www.orlandosentinel.com/news/local/trayvon-martin/os-george-zimmerman-fancy-house-20130909%2C0%2C1471535.story) , George and Shellie Zimmerman lived during his high-profile trial in Trayvon's shooting.
Shellie Zimmerman's attorney told the Sentinel this afternoon he was heading to the scene.

The incident came just days after Shellie Zimmerman told ABC News that she was not sure she "ever really knew" her husband through their seven years of marriage and she felt she was the victim of verbal abuse by him.

There were video surveillance cameras at their house according to a news report I saw. I wonder if he actually pulled the gun and threatened her as she alleged? I would not put it past her to fabricate that to play into the anti gun/Zimmerman meme that is all over. That way its a slam dunk for her to win the judgement in her favor.
