State actors can lay hands on you no problem, but if you lay hands on a state actor, then that's assault. Much like state actors can lie to anyone with impunity, yet if one lies to a state actor then that's a 'crime'.

When I was watching this video, I just saw a disgrace to LE. People of all races and culture, universally understand mutual respect. Some cops want to fight, I'll stand by my personal experiences and say it's not necessary and furthermore, it's wrong, to escalate situations like that. Those cops were looking for a brawl, glad those kids gave them what they expected and more.

At this point, just let it go, those cops hopefully learned a lesson.

I did ride-alongs from '83-'92. I also hung out with the SWAT team. I was welcome and a regular visitor at the Governor's security detail CP at the mansion, even bringing in my latest kewl gun acquisition (NO 'civilian' brings guns onto the grounds of the GM - except me lol). I even hung out with 'em (the major city cops) after showdown (after their shift ended) while they sucked down several Miller Lites and then got into their cars and drove off CLEARLY DWI (I didn't drink a drop, just hung out with them). We went deer hunting together and hung out at gun range. So I'm very confident I've spent more time around cops than you have.

Maybe you have, heck, I don't know I can just post my personal thoughts/experiences. I think we'd have to count hours though, since my experiences maybe more condensed into a shorter amount of time. 6 months in academy, 8-10 hours a day. Only 4 months sworn in, 10 hour shifts. Other than that, I had no clue about LE until I started academy day 1. That being said, they told us 1 year on this dept...we'd have more real experience than 20 years on most other depts. Experience doesn't equal time. Especially when you eat donuts all day.

At least this appears to be a fair fight. Nobody got shot. If you take the blue uniforms off the cops, this situation happens all the time in a fast food joint in the ghetto. :)

Both parties ought to just let it go. Men bump heads sometimes, that all this ended up being. Blowing off some steam.

These cops reason was that they were looked at "funny."

That's not probable cause for anything, they should lose their badge.
