British Airways apologizes over map reading ‘Palestinian Territories’

An Israeli passenger has forced an apology from the British Airways over an in-flight map that showed the words “Palestinian Territories”.
The apology came after an Israeli passenger complained to the airline saying the phrase designated as Palestinian Territories what the unnamed traveler claimed to be Israeli territory.
According to British Airways spokesperson, the image is shown aboard a number of the airline’s flights between London and Israel.
“The phrase appears on an in-flight map system installed on a small number of our aircraft,” the spokesperson said.
“We have contacted the manufacturer and requested that the reference be removed as soon as possible.”
This comes as BA's customer liaison executive Karen Stobbs confirmed the apology in an email to the passenger but said the change will be in place only by December 2013.
“I can only apologise that this isn't an immediate action,” Stobbs said.
“I appreciate this is a very sensitive issue and I am sorry for how this would have made you feel when it appeared at the time.”
The governments of Britain and the Zionist regime of Israel disagree on the territories they call Israel as London recognizes territories occupied after 1967 by the Tel Aviv forces as Occupied Palestinian Territories.
