While hardly reminiscent of Chicago during peak shooting hour on a weekend, news of occasional shootings in the US is becoming increasingly more prevalent, the most recent report coming from a Washington Navy Yard, where the police reports at least three people were shot by an active shooter. According to the Star-Telegram (http://www.star-telegram.com/2013/09/16/5167160/fort-worth-man-accused-in-washington.html?rh=1), Alexis, who friends describe as "polite," was arrested in 2010 for "discharging a firearm within a municipality." The report says that police were called to an apartment on Sep. 4, 2010 after receiving a report that a man had fired shots through the floor and ceiling of a woman's apartment. The report states that the woman had been sitting alone in her apartment when she heard a "pop" and saw dust. “[The woman] then saw that there was a hole in her floor just a couple of feet from where she was sitting while shredding papers and a hole in the ceiling... She told me that she believed someone had shot a bullet through her apartment," the report states.


Although the woman told police she was sure Alexis had intentionally fired the shot, and was "terrified" of him, he denied those claims, telling police he had been cleaning his gun when it accidentally discharged. The report states that, “[Alexis] said that he was trying to clean his gun while cooking and that his hands were slippery. He told me that he began to take the gun apart when his hands slipped and pulled the trigger, discharging a round into the ceiling,”

I saw one report stating the shooter shot a security guard with a shotgun then took the security guard's AR (I've heard/seen 'shotgun' more than 'AR-15') - I cannot imagine the shooter making his way that deep into the complex carrying two long arms...

I read one account where he only brought a shotgun with him, shot the first guard and took his pistol, then when a 'first responder' showed up with an AR the shooter then shot him and took his AR.

The response given: "We cannot answer that as this is an active investigation" TRANSLATION: YES, the shooter did obtain a couple of weapons from on-site personnel, but we can't admit that just yet, we've got to allow a snooz cycle or two to pass so that the disinfo seeds being passed off by our masters in the joosmedia has a chance to take root, plus admitting that now would expose our own incompetence and we just can't allow that to derail our gun-grabbing agenda.

“When will enough be enough?” Feinstein said in a statement Monday evening following the Navy Yard shooting in Washington, D.C.
“Congress must stop shirking its responsibility and resume a thoughtful debate on gun violence in this country,” she said. “We must do more to stop this endless loss of life.”
“I mourn those killed today at the Navy Yard in Washington and send my thoughts and prayers to those families grieving the loss of loved ones,.”
She exploited unconfirmed reporters that the alleged shooter used a popular semi-automatic rifle Democrats and their gun-grabbing comrades have consistently demonized as an assault weapon.
“There are reports the killer was armed with an AR-15, a shotgun and a semiautomatic pistol when he stormed an American military installation in the nation’s capital and took at least 12 innocent lives,” Feinstein said.
“This is one more event to add to the litany of massacres that occur when a deranged person or grievance killer is able to obtain multiple weapons — including a military-style assault rifle — and kill many people in a short amount of time.”
She once again called on Congress to disarm the American people and dismember the Bill of Rights following a monumental failure earlier this year to push anti-gun legislation through the Senate.
In 1995, Feinstein lamented the failure of an earlier effort to take out the Second Amendment. “If I could have gotten 51 votes in the Senate of the United States for an outright ban, picking up every one of them,” she told 60 Minutes. “Mr. and Mrs. America, turn ‘em all in, I would have done it. I could not do that. The votes weren’t here.”

Investigators at the scene are now claiming that NO AR-15 was used. Reports now show that multiple handguns and a shotgun have been recoved at the scene. It is also likely that the handguns were taken from injured police and used by the gunman.
