the new trend is to post a topic with some salacious title, then when you click the thread, all it is is an embedded youtube video that is abnormally long with no explanation of what you're about to watch. apparently, they are so important that they need no foreshadowing, YOU JUST HAVE TO WATCH THEM.

I think the rule of thumb should be, the longer the video, the better description it should have!

I've seen rules like that enforced on certain forums and the result is that the moderators delete whatever video they don't like because the description "wasn't good enough". Either way it doesn't take much to determine if you want to see a video or not with or without description.
