Praise Pours In For Dairy Queen Manager Who Helped A Blind Man.
5379Prusak, a Dairy Queen manager, back on Sept. 10 saw a woman pick up a $20 bill that a blind customer dropped. When Prusak told her to give it back, she refused. So, the 19-year-old manager refused to serve her. He then took $20 of his own money and gave it to the visually impaired customer.
Prusak's good deed might have gone unnoticed. But, :
"Other customers saw what happened and one of them wrote an email to Dairy Queen. The email was forwarded to the owner of the store, who posted it on the board for everybody to see.
"A co-worker was impressed by what happened and posted the message on Facebook, where others found it and shared it. Joey's story is now all over the Internet."
The wire service adds that Dean Peters, a spokesman for International Dairy Queen, said the company is figuring out how to reward Prusak.
Others aren't waiting. :
"While WCCO was on-site [Thursday], a woman ran up to Prusak with an envelope of money saying it was for his college fund. Then an anonymous man from Crystal dropped in. 'I thought it was pretty amazing, so I drove down here after I read it,' he said. 'I decided I'd patronize their business and thought he deserved five times what he paid out.' ...
"Prusak was on Glenn Beck's radio show, and Beck offered to buy a franchise that Prusak would run. Prusak's not sure how serious he was, but he's got a lot of options to weigh.
"He also got a call from the Minnesota Wild, too. He'll have a suite for 20 of his closest friends Saturday night."

The man was offered his own franchise, and he uses this opportunity to declare that he wants to put his pee pee into diseased women. Well, good luck fella, you sure know how to ruin a good opportunity.

I imagine Ximmy created this thread to mock the GSUS silliness in THIS THREAD (http://gold-silver.us/forum/showthread.php?72858-Crying-Porn-Stars-sniff-sniff) that seems to celebrate young people who chose to instead become porn stars. Contrasting this young Prusak, the Dairy Queen manager, with the "celebrity" also received by those porn stars who contracted AIDS.

Not sure where that last sentence came from. This is all I could find:
“You know, in time, you could be running all of Dairy Queen or whatever else it is you want to do,” Beck told Prusak. “Right now one of the problems in our country, Wall Street and everything else, everything else, is a lack of honesty. What do you want to do? What’s your plan for life?”
Prusak said he wants to own his own business.
“I’ve always been interested in the business aspect of the Dairy Queen that I work at, and the owner [has] really worked with me on teaching me the things of business,” Prusak said. “I’d like to eventually own my own Dairy Queen, or just a business of some kind.”

Pope Francis is laying down the law in the Vatican. He has announced reforms on laws governing child abuse to penalties for staff who leak confidential information.
The latest overhaul of the Holy See comes after years of scandals which have damaged the image of the Catholic Church.
The changes, which will take effect on September 1, would classify sexual violence and sexual acts against children, child prostitution and pornography under crimes against minors. They could carry a 12 year jail sentence. However, the rules would only apply within the Vatican.
The Survivors Network of Those Abused by Priests (SNAP) has slammed the move as “great for the Pope’s image but a setback for children’s safety.”
The Pope also pledged international cooperation on money laundering as the Vatican bank faces an investigation by Italian prosecutors into its own financial dealings. A Council of Europe report last year identified failings in the bank. The Holy See received negative ratings in several areas related to transparency. In June Pope Francis set up a special commission of inquiry to reform the bank. According to the Vatican newspaper Osservatore Romano, they held their first meeting on Thursday, with the Pope in attendance.
Penalties on staff who leak top secret Vatican documents are aimed to clean up the church’s image after the Vatileaks scandal last year. Paolo Gabriele, the butler to previous pontiff Benedict XVI stole top secret documents and leaked them to an Italian journalist who revealed allegations of corruption, nepotism and intimidation within the Vatican in a bestselling book. Now any disclosure of sensitive material is punishable by up to 8 years in jail.
