And of course to generally fight 'the war on crime'.

Naturally this isn't an isolated case.

the louvers on the side windows make me wonder if they normally run with the glass side windows rolled down.

Put lights and sirens on it. Then paint "protect and serve" on it. Folks won't mind seeing these drive down the street. Kids can point and say "mommy, what's the man in the tank want?"

We are doomed....

From what I gather those louvers are there to keep RPGs from directly exploding on the ballistic glass. You know it's air conditioned so it's doubtful that the windows even open.

They hate us for our freedom
no, wait, that was the evil muslims
these guys are protecting our freedoms...I think

Anyway, that thing looks as tough as an armored car

And like I keep on saying, fire is the best way to fight those tanks......even a small flame thrower would do the job.

I don't know, I think they're pretty well sealed from fire.
A 50 cal into the engine block might stop it or something to plug the tailpipe but for the most part, these things are built for warfare
I would think a good sized sink hole would put it out of commission as well

It's so sad that people allow our country to be turned into this kind of police state where armored vehicles can be used against us. There is absolutely no reason for this type of weaponry to be used against citizens that are not at war with anyone.

It is becoming more and more obvious that they see us, the citizens, as the enemy of a new war heading our way.

I bet that our American ingenuity will poke holes in its perceived invincibility faster than the guys in the Middle Eastern area. Remember, it is "mine resistant" but it will not move quickly while navigating city streets. It does not have to be blown up, just disabled.

Ideas:

winch on the front, has attachment point for chain - connect chain to hook, wrap other end of chain to lamppost with concrete base, or any concrete bollard - or connect in middle, attach each end to 2 seperate lampposts

what can you get wrapped around the front axle that will disable it? think a thin chain or even a long piece of the plastic used to wrap skids

---

There is a huge picture of the MRAP front end here - note the small hydraulic lines, easily snipped with tin snips
