143-year-old law puts fear in officials during shutdown

Administration officials now live in fear of a 19th-century law that could get them fired, penalized or even imprisoned if they make the wrong choices while the government is shut down.

The law is the Antideficiency Act, passed by Congress in 1870 (and amended several times), which prohibits the government from incurring any monetary obligation for which the Congress has not appropriated funds.

In shutting down the government, most memos cite the law as the reason. The Government Accountability Office says employees who violate the Antideficiency Act may be subject to disciplinary action, suspension and even "fines, imprisonment, or both."

CNBC has learned that in several executive branch departments, high-level staff members review individual decisions about what government activities to allow for fear of running afoul of the Antideficiency Act. One White House official said he has advised his employees not to check their email or cellphones. Under the act, even volunteering for government service is expressly prohibited.

In a memo to his department employees today, Treasury Secretary Jack Lew cited the law as the reason for reduced staffing.

"For the duration of this impasse, as required by the Antideficiency Act and directed by OMB, the Department will be required to operate with only the minimal staffing level necessary to execute only certain legally exempted activities," Lew wrote.

The only exemptions to the shutdown concern "emergencies involving the safety of human life or the protection of property," according to government documents. That has meant airports and the Postal Service are open, Social Security checks get paid and federal prisons and courts will operate as normal as do most national security functions including the military and the Central Intelligence Agency. But national parks and museums are closed along with big parts of the departments of Education and Commerce

Congress passed the law as part of a struggle—dating back to the nation's founding—for control over the power of the purse. Some presidents, such as Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War, would incur obligations for which Congress had to appropriate funds after the fact.

What is ironic is that Congress in shutting down the government has to at least to some extent given up the power of the purse to the executive branch. Under the broad guidelines of what constitutes an emergency or threat to life or property, OMB now more or less decides what gets funded and what doesn't. But that latitude is limited by the fear of officials that, sometime after the event, a given decision is found to have been in violation of the Antideficiency Act.

Government shutdown is "bad for the Jews"

The federal government is officially "shutdown", as I'm sure many of you know at this point. And the Jews are upset. Tablet Magazine (http://www.tabletmag.com/scroll/147530/u-s-holocaust-museum-shuttered-by-shutdown) reports that the "shutdown" is "bad for the Jews." Why? Because their beloved "Holocaust" museum is closed:

Yet another federally-funded casualty of the government shutdown, now in its second day? The United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, a Washington, D.C. institution.

“The Museum is closed to the public due to the federal government shutdown. It will reopen when the federal government resumes operation,” reads a message (http://www.ushmm.org/copyright-and-legal-information/closure-plan) at the top of the museum’s website, confirming a hypothesis published on this very blog back in April 2011: that a government shutdown is bad for the Jews (http://www.tabletmag.com/scroll/64558/the-government-shutdown-bad-for-the-jews).




There are two points worth making here. First, this just demonstrates, once again, that Jews are only concerned with their unique and particular group interests. Most Jews, the vast majority I would argue, care only about the interests of the Jewish community, and view public policy from one perspective: Is it good for the Jews? In fact, this is how most Jews view almost everything: Is it good for the Jews?

The vast majority of Jews strongly identify as Jews (94% according to recent polls), even if they are not particularly religious, and have systematically pathologized and demonized any sort of racial or cultural cohesion in other groups, particularly amongst Whites. So while it's OK for Jews to think in racial terms, and to view the world from a tribalist, ethnocentric perspective (Is it good for the Jews?), it's wrong, illegitimate, or somehow "evil" for others to do the same, especially if you are White. This is a major problem, not to mention blatantly hypocritical.

The second point worth making here is to underscore the importance of the fake "Holocaust" narrative to Jewish identity and power. The fake "Holocaust" narrative specifically, and the official narrative of WWII generally, are essential to Jewish identity today. J.J. Goldberg, a Jewish journalist with The Jewish Daily Forward, wrote a piece this week for the Forward regarding the recently released Pew Research Poll on American Jewry (http://forward.com/articles/184795/jews-bound-by-shared-beliefs-even-as-markers-of-fa/?p=all). Goldberg noted that (http://blogs.forward.com/jj-goldberg/184982/-proudly-jewish-so-why-dismiss-them/) "the one expression of Judaism that they [American Jews who participated in the poll] value above all others is remembering the Holocaust," demonstrating how central this fake, manufactured narrative is to Jewish identity.

In fact, due to the Jewish control of the mass media, Hollywood, educational establishment, and federal government, the fake "Holocaust" narrative is essential to all of our identities at this point. The lies associated with Adolf Hitler, WWII, and the alleged "Holocaust" form our collective historical paradigm of the 20th century.

Some people criticize or wonder why I spend so much time analyzing, discussing, and debunking the fake Jewish "Holocaust" narrative of WWII. Well, the preceding article just demonstrated how crucial, how essential, how fundamental the "Holocaust" is to Jewish identity - that's why I focus on it so much here. The entire "New World Order" conspiracy, which is in reality a Jewish conspiracy for world domination and subjugation - politically, economically, culturally, racially, and spiritually - rests upon the fake Jewish "Holocaust" narrative to a large degree. The "Holocaust" is a major PSYOP (http://www.john-friend.net/2013/10/the-holocaust-as-psyop.html) which has been used to advance numerous agendas for the organized Jewish community. It is their bread and butter, so to speak, their weapon against us. And it is constantly reinforced in the mass media, Hollywood, and educational system. I know I harp on this subject quite a bit, but in my opinion it is important - they constantly invoke the "Holocaust" and use it to justify virtually everything they do.
